After a show in Dallas in March 2022, a fan approached me and suggested a collaboration with Daeya (DDD at the time). I was familiar with their work but had never actually thought about writing music with them… now it feels so obvious that this collab just NEEDED to exist. If you're reading this, thanks fan!!!

We started this tune back in April 2022, when I was fresh off the hype of a full 2D Metroid playthrough. Specifically the buildup of this tune is inspired by the glitchy techy soundtracks from the series. This is one of the few tracks I’ve ever made that STEMMED from a buildup!

We're both eternally grateful for the support from Tokyo Machine, letting us put this tune out on their CHOMPO imprint! We're both massive fans of his work and what the label has put out over the years.
