I am a finger-style guitarist living on the Texas high plains.  At the core of my music is melody that is inspired and informed by my Christian faith, family, friends, and countless influences through the years from the great composers, to jazz, folk, rock, Latin, Celtic, and the many fine musicians I have come to love on the Cloud, some I have been privileged to collaborate with. Lynda Faye and Fred Gold, together, formed the Illinois Harmony Connection, at SoundClick, and You Tube. Fred's in Illinois, Lynda in CA, so all of our music duos etc were prepared in CyberSpace, thanks to Audacity! I'm apparently an alto and a soprano-But I attended Pepperdine College on a violin scholarship, and also gave opera a shot, but I gave up on performing it! Allot of my songs are cross-overs, I realize that----Country-Gospel, Classical-Folk, along with a few comical songs. I'm a classical violinist at heart, but taught myself enough guitar with a few great influences advising me here and there (which you can hear on some of my solos!) Ben Benay wanted to teach me some arranging techniques, but I didn't have the tenacity; He said if I didn't study classical guitar, I'd never be able to write more than country folk;Guess he was right, but then the violin influence stepped in- when he heard  my humming of the violin parts, he said, "Lynda, you ARE an arranger ?" ; Paula Drake tried too, for a few years, and she's in her 80's a still goin' strong!  but I kept continuing to plug away at the writing!I had to edit this, sadly, as classmate Fred Gold (Railsback) lost his beloved wife, Ella May, last August. I'm trying to encourage him to keep at that guitar; but I'm sure he's not much in the mood; We dedicated "Ella's Garden", the song we're recorded a few years ago, as Ella's memory -as the video on "I Wanna go Back" was filmed IN Ella's back yard garden, and the song has now taken on special meaning to both of us. Won't be a "replacement for" Fred, but I found both Adriano Fontana's versatility and guitar expertise, and "Ancolies" singing a few of my songs in French for me. Won't be easy to find! I'm seeking to find some competent "versatile" musicians (and composers) who love children and have hopes for music in future generations, and perhaps a strong History Buff, to help with several children's musicals. I welcome other singers to sing my originals---My goal has never been to "be" a great singer; but to connect appropriate singers TO some of my songs: All three genres. My Folky MOR album is "Movin' On" at CDBaby. , I've "been there done that-nite clubs, Holiday Inn lounges from Ca. to Pennsylvania; I refused the Vegas offers! (too much writing to do!)  A songwriter's "Job", like most housewives...is never done, now, is it ?
Pls see the attitude of most of them who are married TO, some of those songwriters, in the "Songwriters' Serenade", or, as I'm always having difficulty finding "concise" titles...." All You Got is Words!" Some of my folky-country is on my album at CDBaby, titled "Movin On"...and I am currently trying to assemble twenty songs for " Friends, Love Songs and Heartaches." Seems viewers liked the " remakes" of the Oldies-I attribute that to Adriano's working his way in and out and around my Acapella tracks, I sent to him; I'm not easy to work with because I have trouble keeping "consistent  rhythms' . Of course Adrian has a word in Italian for that. Maybe HE should solo on a few of my songs and I'll back him on guitar; Course those would then become comedy, yes Adriano ?

Auteur-compositeur de chansons françaises qui n'attendent que de bons interprètes. 
Après des études au conservatoire et musicologie à la Sorbonne, j'ai enseigné l'éducation musicale à des élèves en école élémentaire de 1982 à 2021.

Dès 1989, alors que je découvrais la MAO, j'ai commencé à faire des centaines d'arrangements de chansons pour enfants ou adultes dans tous les styles pour les faire chanter. Cette solide expérience m'a amené dans un premier temps à composer des chansons pour mes élèves. Puis, je me suis lancé dans un répertoire pour adultes. 132 chansons à ce jour !

Mon répertoire va de la danse traditionnelle française (La bourrée du maumarié), à l’EDM (La tête dans les étoiles) en passant par la musique classique (Double concerto pour violon, violoncelle et orchestre à cordes) et la chanson française, le gros du panier, avec le plus souvent cette pointe d’humour qui fait tant défaut aujourd’hui dans beaucoup de chansons, (ce qui est étonnant quand on voit autant d’humoristes fleurir aux six points de l’Hexagone…)

Même si certains apprécient ma façon de chanter, mes chansons sont faites pour de vrais interprètes qui aiment monter sur scène.

Author-composer and performer... by default of French songs. 
After studying at the Conservatoire and musicology at the Sorbonne, I taught music education to elementary school pupils from 1982 to 2021.

As early as 1989, when I was just discovering computer-assisted music, I started making hundreds of arrangements of songs for children and adults in all styles, to get them to sing along. This solid experience initially led me to compose songs for my students. Then I started working on a repertoire for adults. 132 songs to date!

My repertoire ranges from traditional French dance (La bourrée du maumarié), to EDM (La tête dans les étoiles), classical music (Double concerto for violin, cello and string orchestra) and French chanson, the mainstay of my repertoire, most often with that touch of humor so lacking in so many songs these days (which is astonishing when you see so many humorists flourishing at the six points of the Hexagon...).

Even if some people like the way I sing, my songs are made for real performers who like to get up on stage.
