Flute. Oboe, Bb Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Bassoon, Horn in F, Trumpet in C, and Strings

• There is no key signature. Accidentals apply to the end of the measure or to the note or notes tied over the measure, and only to notes of the same pitch class, in the same octave.
• Hairpin pairs (e.g.: mp <>, mf ><) indicate a temporary volume change of one dynamic level.
• Passages marked fff or ppp indicate playing as loudly and as quietly as possible, respectively.
• Double-bass “C-extension” is required.

The air-raid siren was recorded in Kyiv by vkvych (freesound.org).

Persephone's Fields

An ethereal, dark ambient, dreamlike Berlin-School type, "Persephone's Fields" enwraps the listener in an Otherworldly atmosphere of magic and myth. In our imagination, we see Persephone in a field of flowers, follow her chant to the horizon, witness Hades lurk, approach, and snatch her away.

method: basic sequence on a minilogue xd, adornments via vc 340, further adornments created by sounds in front of microphones, incl my voice, an interview sample and a field recording taken at a supermarket parking lot .... and then Jeff picked up his guitar ....
narration: there are literature tourists following the traces of the likes of Shakespeare and Kafka. some places consider those travellers in two worlds a good source of income. There is also a different kind of tourism on the magic-realistic tracks of the likes of Borges ;-)

I can't seem to put down the guitar now that I've picked it back up! Played around with layering some kind of simple repetitive loops to create a hypnotic atmosphere on this one.
