I produced the cast album for BMG - inheriting all the cast vocal recordings from previous sessions. Peter Kearns and myself played and replaced the entire (and often huge) orchestral arrangements - A painstaking and   elaborate procedure which took many months of hard work !! All the orchestral sounds came from my Kurzweil K2000. All drums are programmed and from memory came mainly from an Alesis D4 Module......

David is an English born musician and music producer who has been resident in New Zealand since 1993. Classically trained as a keyboardist and guitarist, and infatuated by both music and its technologies, David brings to the table a wealth of unique top-level industry experience. A veteran of numerous world tours and major recording projects throughout the 1980's, 1990's & 2000s, working constantly in some of the worlds' most prestigious recording studios and concert venues.

David's track record speaks for itself - he has worked regularly with some of the most influential contemporary rock musicians in the world – Steve Winwood, Jeff Beck, Mark Knopfler, Emmylou Harris, Sade, Lisa Stansfield, Roger Waters, Robert Fripp, David Sylvian ..... as well as working alongside some of the top producers in the music industry, including – Marius de Vries (Madonna, Annie Lennox, Massive Attack, Bjork), Phill Brown (Bob Marley, David Gilmour, Robert Plant, Dido), Nick Griffiths (Pink Floyd), Pat Leonard (Madonna), Leif Masses (Jeff Beck, Led Zeppelin, Abba)...........

Since immigrating to New Zealand, he has composed and produced soundtracks for several film and documentary productions for TVNZ, as well as numerous TV, Cinema & Radio ads for many of the top advertising agencies. Homegrown NZ successes also include producing and writing with Salmonella Dub for the NZ award winning hit “Love your Ways”, and full production credits for several diverse NZ major label album projects. He continues to compose and produce music for TV and Media in NZ.

David has been employed as a tutor at Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology "MusicArts" since 1998.  David tutors in Music Production, Music Technology, Performance, History, & Music Industry for both the Jazz and Contemporary Popular Music Programmes.

David has a Bachelor of Musical Arts Degree, a Diploma in Contemporary Rock Music and a Diploma in Tertiary Learning and Teaching. He is currently studying a post-graduate Diploma in Information Design.
