It deals with the issues of youth knife and gun crime head on. To maximise its impact and get the message out to as many people as possible

Calling All Astronauts continuously defy their DIY status. Their 130,000 genuine Twitter followers have pushed them to No1 on the Hypem Twitter Music Chart 
on no fewer than 5 occasions. They have a large international Blog, Webzine and Radio following too, resulting in their singles being played continuously across the globe.

No strangers to the big stage either they have played shows alongside the likes of Roger Daltrey, Echo & The Bunnymen, PWEI and A Place To Bury Strangers and have played both Guilfest and Kendal Calling Festivals.

Whilst at Musepo 14 in Los Angeles, CAA were approached to provide the soundtrack for the Movie production company Boom Op Films for their promo trailer.

Calling All Astronauts - Hands Up Who Wants Metal?

Supersonic Media are proud to present “Anti-Social Network” the eagerly awaited second album from London based Alt Rock three-piece Calling All Astronauts. Containing their hit single “Empire” (which is currently #3 in the Official European Indie Chart after it hit #1 on the Hypem Chart on the day of its November release),  “Anti-Social Network” is the follow up to their critically acclaimed debut “Post Modern Conspiracy”. It is the result of 20 months of insane creativity that saw the guys locked in their studio for days on end as they wrote, engineered and produced an album that stretched their creativity like never before. 
The thought that they mash together Rock, Electro, Goth, DnB, Punk and EDM into a unique genre that is remotely listenable seems somewhat preposterous until you listen to “Anti-Social Network”. They have in no way tried to hide their love for classic Alternative Rock, instead they have brought it firmly into the 21st Century. Known for not being ones to mince their words, Calling All Astronauts once again dig deep into the fabric of society. There are no elephants in their room as they take on controversial matters including; youth knife crime in “Hands Up Who Wants To Die”, the war for oil in “Divisive”, social inequalities in “Time To Fight Back” and the disposable consumer driven society in “God Is Dead”. Yet they still manage to explore their softer side in “Empire”, “Life As We Know It” and “Always Be True”. Producer and vocalist David B says “We wanted to make an album we would buy ourselves, that pays homage to our heroes and many influences whilst still sounding like us. I think we’ve just about got there”
The cover artwork is photograph of a sculpture by South African artist Maurice Mbiyaki which just happens to be called “Anti-Social Network” the band felt it very much summed up the reason they had independently named their album the same. They approached the artist who said he’d “be honoured” if the guys used his art on their sleeve.

“Divisive” is the 10th single from London based Electro Goth Punks, Calling All Astronauts. It is the follow up to their Twitter Music Chart Christmas No.1 “Life As We Know It”
Taken from their “Anti-Social Network” album, Divisive has been compared to the likes of Marilyn Manson, Korn and The Prodigy with a touch of Skrillex. It’s a dance oriented protest song for the metal generation. 
2016 saw Calling All Astronauts, release their critically acclaimed send album “Anti-Social Network”, their single Empire hit #2 in the Official European Indie Chart, they’ve had three #1s in the Hype Machine Twitter Chart, they headlined the Bandstand Stage on the final night of Beautiful Days Festival and their hugely supportive Twitter following grew to over half a million.

2016 has been another fantastic year for West London Electro Punks Calling All Astronauts.
It has seen the release of their widely acclaimed second album “Anti-Social Network” Their single Empire hit #2 in the Official European Indie Chart, they’ve had two #1s in the Hype Machine Twitter Chart, they headlined the Bandstand Stage on the final night of Beautiful Days Festival. They have seen their Twitter following swell to over 500,000.
They round off the year with their ninth single, “Life As We Know It” released via Supersonic Media on Dec 23rd in which we see a more mellow, electronic side to these usually noisy rockers. The single is backed by three remixes and would you believe a “shuffle” video.
