Maison D’etre’s moody masters have been at it again. Long-time friends, Gel Abril and
Anthony Middleton have combined forces to produce more than a collaborative EP. ‘All in the
Mind’ is a dexterous fusion melding what could be considered contrasting styles into balanced
compliment. ‘All in the Mind’ is murky, provocative, groovy- all that is that is Maison D.
Contrast and compliment, space and balance, much like a friendship this two-track EP shows
off the strength of dynamic collaboration, honouring differences and never conformity.
‘All in the Mind,’ showcases both producers’ unique craft; fusing Gel Abril’s signature techno
sound with Anthony Middleton’s melodic and spacious arrangements. Thought provoking
vocals stretched out across a landscape of rhythmic pads. A tribal space voyage, both stirring
and calming, complex yet simple- experiential and unreal all in perfect contradiction. Dark and
hypnotic with a techno pad breakdown this beat-rider evokes imagination…It is, after all, ‘All in
the Mind’.
‘Hey You’ is a classic track reinvented with some contemporary techno flare. Classic vocals,
airy and distant, are laid over super modern tech and synth sounds in a digital Ping-Pong style.
This track is all about rhythmic drive with old-school baseline, a combination that is bound to
keep the feet dancing well past 4am.

Miss Jools releases may be be modest in number, but she is woven deeper than ever into the Mobilee fabric. In stepping back into the studio with Scott Kemp, Miss Jools has signalled that her production hiatus is officially over, and now Berlin's favourite transplant revisits the madness of her former home with London Asylum.
The title track stalks the city's late night streets, moody and brooding with a washy vocal treatment and a deep, sultry pace. "Counter Culture" is just as sleek and seductive, with a thick bassline and a vintage UK tech house feel. Fellow ex-Londoner  Anthea provides the "Expectation Remix" of "Counter Culture", but expect the unexpected: it's dark and stark, and a real deep techno workout.

Go Back (7:33)
One of the darker cuts of the EP, 'Go Back' clips along with seering effects and globulous bursts of bass. The track quickly opens up and kicks into overdrive. A hypnotic synth wave and a repeated mantra vocal accompany the listener as they head down the rabbit hole. Experienced heads won't heed the advice to 'go back' and will push through the psychedelic sounds and effects.

Shake Your Mind (7:15)
Mediterranean-styled techno comes full force with 'Shake Your Mind'. Resonant bass supplements the driving beat while crowd field recordings and glitchy house samples fill the audio field. The track chugs along with a classic 909 ride and continues to pummel the dancefloor with surefire edits, drops and explosive effects. This is the classic Mindshake sound with stormer written all over it.

Ahaa (6:51)
A funky horn riff slowly makes its way through the pounding bass as the track opens, sustaining itself as the background motif while the song builds to it's first of many epic climaxes. Underpinned by bongo percussion, the track reaches a funky apex with some diva 'Ahaa' samples that pushes the driving techno into housier territory.

Hip Tech Houser (7:01)
With an extremely funky swing and a techno backbone, this is hip house done Spanish style. Glitchy vox samples and repeated vocals provide the hip house attitude, but this is pure Mindshake techno bounce. Precision effects, drops and momentous builds throughout the track keep energy levels high, while the playful vocals keep the smile on your face.
