I'm losing steam now
I was blinded by the light
If time could allow
To let my mind bring my hopes into sight

I hope for harvest
As I stand in a barren field
These times are hardest
Cross my fingers and hope that I heal

Impose on me every feeling ever felt, I’ll bear it”
I begged the sky, honestly
I begged it to promise me
My heart's desires, and with its choir, the sky said beware it

I kept on pushing
Used the strength of 1 million men
All that I put in
And All it could yield and at what expense

I exhausted my muscles 
Convulsions and cramps aren’t anything new
The sword here is double-edged
Makes think of what I could’ve done in lieu 

“Another dawn another day of a lifelong struggle,*
How much more could I take before my knees buckle?”
I asked the sky so solemnly
And all it could promise me 
Is it takes more than what I commit
So to reap my sow I must double it

I had a dream that following night
The sky had a face and it told me to fight
To which I obliged and my fears got sent flying
I woke the daylight and a sense of what’s right

Soon I’ll have a sense that I finally won
And I’ll know in my heart that I'm second to none
Not because of my talents
because I learned my worth
I’ll finally strike a balance
And help someone with my words

And I'll finally have a good year
And faith in my career
