I'm Andy Elvis a local D.J from Leeds, West Yorkshire. I've played in some of the best club nights of the 90s and 2000's. My main residences were Speedqueen, down at the Warehouse in Leeds. It was a hedonistic night where everything and anything was played. No attitudes and no pretence, this was a night where everyone was welcome. The after hours was always Glasshouse and it was only for the proper ravers who could handle a second bout. The music was a little tougher but if you were there, you know what I mean. Not forgetting my other residency over in Manchester - Area 51. A mixture of Tech House and Techno. I also played at Amnesia in Ibiza supporting all the main D.J's. I hope you enjoy my mixes, there's a little bit for everyone. x

DJing for over 30 years, Mark’s held many residences at clubs such as Ricky's, The Warehouse, The Gallery, Highflyers, Soak, Kaos, Ark and the Glasshouse, playing alongside the likes of Sasha, Dave Seaman, Graeme Park, Allister Whitehead, Jon Pleased Wimmin, Paul Oakenfold, Carl Cox, K-Klass and has graced the decks at some of the UK’s key clubs such as Pacha, Gatecrasher & Tall Trees. 

In recent years Mark has made regular appearances at a variety of club nights across the north of England at LTD Addiction, Shine, House Arrest, Love to Be and Reborn. He’s also taken centre stage at Leeds Pride showcasing his skills to more that 20’000 revellers. Mark has also hosted his own internet radio shows booking some of the worlds biggest DJs including Kurd Maverick, Dave Seaman, Utah Saints, Disfunktion, Dan Castro, Prok and Fitch, Hard Rock Sofa and Mason. 

Mark continues to perform at various events and currently holds residency Revisited at the Leeds Warehouse mixing up a cocktail of uplifting, hands-in- the-air house music alongside other DJ legends.

Kev Beadle has been one of the soul and jazz scene’s main tastemakers since the mid/late 80’s. He has played all over the world entertaining crowds with his selections and is never afraid to push musical boundaries. With a compilation discography in double figures, he has put together some well received compilation albums for labels like Blue Note, Cadet as well as more upfront musical offerings for labels like BBE and his own now sadly defunct label Clean Up. He also produces under the name Messengers and more recently co-producing a new project called R.K. Edits. He is also one of the longest standing dj residents and Beat Bar consultant at the legendary Southport Weekender and SunceBeat Festival in Croatia

Hey, Gareth here, I'm a graphic designer who start designing for clubs, parties, and labels in the late 90s. Back then, mix CDs were the holy grail of both design and music. I loved them.

But I wasn't the only one, mix cds were the soundtracks of our nights, our days, our afterparties and lives, for everyone. Yet in today's internet age, the art form has been lost (or just changed) to 2-3 hour online mixes and streaming videos, which just don't create the same magic your CD collection did. Just 60 minutes of music and incredible artwork.

The Classic Mix CD Series celebrates these discs, their soundtrack, their box art and your memories. We hope you enjoy it.
