Jungle Rootz is a sound producer hailing from Odesa, Ukraine, and now residing in France. With a passion for creating music that transcends genre boundaries, he draws inspiration from a wide range of sources to craft a sound that is both fresh and familiar. He has a keen ear for bass and a strong affinity for dub-influenced sound design and broken rhythms. His tunes have been released on labels such as Artikal Music, Duploc, Albion Collective, and Foto, and his music has been supported by top artists including J:Kenzo, Youngsta, Mala, Truth, Distance, Ternion Sound, Deep Tempo, among others.

The Metalheadz back catalogue features almost every major figure in the history of drum and bass, and is one of the most innovative labels out there, consistently crossing boundaries with its releases since 1994. The labels output continues to showcase a maturing genre of music that displays influences from reggae, hip-hop, house and techno with highly-sophisticated and intricately-produced tracks, contrary to the image of the music that is typically presented by the mass media.

The Metalheadz label was also the driving force behind the seminal Sunday Session Club Nights, which achieved legendary status at London's Blue Note club.
