Born in the wilderness of rural Canada, Daniel Gardner spent his formative years in relative isolation, serenaded by the supernatural sounds of the environment in which he inhabited. Not content with his traditional schooling, he spent wintery nights tuned into a distant university radio station, recording weird and wonderful electronic music onto a cassette tape which hung from the ceiling to study musical structures. It wasn't long before he began sampling his habitat and creating sonic landscapes of his own, as surreal and serene as his surroundings.

Nascido em Guimarães a Junho de 1986, Carlos Oliveira, começou a interessar-se pela música electrónica, através das várias "visitas" aos bares e discotecas Algarvias. O seu primeiro contacto com a música e o movimento electrónico deu-se em 2002, iniciando-se no djing 3 anos após, Dj Bside como é conhecido neste meio lançou-se em eventos tendo estes sido festas particulares para amigos.
Logo se estreou actuando em festas e alguns clubs.Em 2009 decide tirar um Workshop dada pela editora Kimahera com o DJ/Produtor Rafael Correia (Dj Gijoe) onde teve o primeiro contacto com o vinyl. Em 2010 e convidado a fazer a inauguração da "Sea Garden Disco" discoteca oficial da Semana Do Mar 2010 nos Açores, neste mesmo ano é o vencedor do concurso "Dj da Semana" da PORTUGALDANCE.PT avaliado pela Grooves  Production (premiada melhor agência de dj 2010 pela noite.pt) e Dj Nox. Em 2011 entra para a GPS Foundation – Dj Agency and Events Production agencia Iberica com varios Dj’s de renome. Actualmete Já tocou em varias casas como Le 13Or (ALVOR), Amnesia (Albufeira), Aqua Lounge (Portimão), Sea Garden Disco (Açores), Beach Bar Jony (Armação de Pêra) Palhota Café (Armação de Pêra) Bar HitCaffé (Silves) entre outros. Já partilhou a cabine com vários Dj’s como Prime Adiction, SonicBlast, Fabien, B-Art, Mirra, Marrokz, Grooveman, Vilela entre outros. As suas influências sonoras passam pelo Soulfull, House, Deep e Techno.


Subb-an is an electronic music artist from Birmingham, UK, known for his dynamic DJ sets that fluidly traverse the spectrum between house and techno, seamlessly blending deep, groove-driven basslines with hypnotic rhythms. His sound is immersive and refined, creating captivating experiences on dancefloors worldwide.

A seasoned performer, Subb-an has left a lasting mark at iconic venues and festivals including Block9 at Glastonbury, Houghton, Sunwaves, and DC10. Recent standout sets at Panorama Bar and Fabric underscore his enduring influence and versatility as an artist. 

In addition to his DJ work, Subb-an has recently unveiled a brand-new live show, an exciting evolution featuring an updated hardware-focused setup, offering a deeper, more immersive extension of his studio sound. This new performance format reflects his forward-thinking approach and commitment to pushing creative boundaries on stage.

With releases on respected labels such as One Records, Spectral Sound, and Phonica Records, Subb-an has firmly established himself as a producer of exceptional talent and creative vision. He has collaborated with celebrated artists including Mathew Jonson, Max Cooper, Seth Troxler, Enzo Siragusa, and Tom Trago.

His productions have earned widespread support from a diverse roster of tastemakers across the global electronic scene, including Ricardo Villalobos, Sonja Moonear, Midland, Peach, tINI, Saoirse, Job Jobse, Sedef Adasi, Chris Stussy, Priku, Laurent Garnier, Shanti Celeste, Peggy Gou, and Anotr.

Looking ahead, Subb-an is set to release new music on forward-thinking labels including Peach Discs, X-Kalay, Yoyaku, and his own imprint, Sub Series, continuing his evolution as a boundary-pushing force in contemporary electronic music.

Coat Of Arms music has a love of big bass, melodic chords and slick beats and has created a sound clash with more fight than the “Battle of Hastings”. The début track “Is This Something” was featured on Jamie Jones Live Essential Mix from Ibiza on Radio 1 and Jamie also contributed a special edit for his Fabric CD Mix. This accolade along with a number of other tracks; including the top 5 hit "What You Need" on Pets Recordings and the epic take on Viadrina's - Luna for Your Mama's Friend shows why this project is hot property.
