About the release:

We live in a complicated age. As the global population rises, the demand for work increases, while the possibilities dwindle. This is further exacerbated when governments turn inwards, destroying their own people. For these reasons among many others, it is now more critical than ever that we approach our fellow human beings with a sense of compassion, understanding, and helpfulness. 

Our mission at Unrush has always been to help unravel the stresses of daily life. Whether it be through our monthly podcasts or our event series in Berlin, we have continually aimed to alleviate the complications inherent in simply existing. With the launch of The Unrush Tapes, we have now decided to do something palpable in order to share the music we love while simultaneously relieving some of the real, serious problems that burden people's lives. Therefore, all profits from this tape will go to help4people in Berlin e.V., a non-profit charity dedicated to seeing the successful integration of the much overlooked African immigrants in Berlin.

Moscow artist Anton Kubikov started career in 1994. His music had over 70 releases on vinyl labels such as Kompakt, Force Tracks, Trapez, Salo, MAYAK, Pro-tez, Traum and Freizeitglauben with project Scsi-9 and under his name.
Born in Moscow, DJ and producer, co-owner of Pro–tez record label Anton Kubikov is one of the key figures of the Russian electronic music scene.
His wide musical range extends from dub to techno and accompanied by a unique selection of the material, which can be heard on his many podcasts and can be seen on the shelves at his own shop Randomart in Prague.
Under his own name, Anton wrote ambient, dub techno and house music, which can be heard on such labels as Kompakt, his own Pro–tez, MAYAK, Elusive, etc.
Juras Lietus alter ego was created as a full analog modular live concept project that represents Anton’s fascination with techno and cold electronics.
As a well known SCSI-9 outfit Anton and Maxim Milyutenko have released over 50 records and 4 full Length albums and became a mainstay at Kompakt Recordings family. Pro–Tez records was created in 2005 together with Ed Vertov and Maxim Milyutenko. It became one of the first Russian vinyl record labels that gave a serious jump start to many young electronic musicians from ex-Soviet Union and became part of Kompkat Label distribution family.
Anton also participated in the broadcast of the first Moscow’s FM radio station called Substation from 1995 – 2001. These first broadcast had an immense influence on the development of modern Russian music culture and helped shape the tastes of many techno enthusiasts.

Sasha is a trained violinist and choir vocalist who grew up with an addiction to music. Her first ventures into her own productions were a strong mix of distorted electronics, a far cry from her classical background. With the studio foundations in place she started producing a multitude of related genres like drum n bass, ambient and electronic music. Inspired by the dark ambient people in her life she surrounded herself with she slowly drifted into the scene and started turning her productions towards the depths. She has described dark ambient as something that gives her a freedom of thought in relation to the complexity of the world of wonders, a mix between the simple and the difficult.

J. Roosevelt's latest single “Firefly Canyon” was inspired by many sunset hikes, morning drives, and hazey afternoons. It’s a combination of synths and live instruments, nature sounds recorded from various locations, and a few late nights arranging in my home studio. Following up on my last single ‘Sandalwood’ which has accumulated over 6 million streams to date,  my main goals were to compose a song that told a story, and to progress as a musician—inching myself into that uncomfortable space of releasing another song into the world. Warmth - Wildlife

Submersion began his current project with the 2008 album "Cicada" and has been experimenting with electronic sounds since 2002. His main focus is on a combination of hypnotic ambient, drone, and dub techno.

Fifteen releases are under the Submersion alias on CD, vinyl, cassette, and digital formats.

This track consists of multiple layers with slightly different sounds. One of the themes of this track is tranquility. The tranquility is not only present in distant mountains and lakes, but even in the midst of the city, you can feel the tranquility if you care about it. In other words, it is a noise-canceled spiritual landscape projected to us. And by taking the sound out of silence and repeating it, it produces a new sound.
The reverb is echoing forever.
