After his track 'Pretty Simple Music' received plenty of support from the likes of Dossa & Locuzzed, Azaleh, Madusea and many more, we are proud to welcome back Livid Cheese to the label for his debut EP. These three tracks showcasing Livid Cheese's versatility while also bringing in the production talents of Limbish and Kolonie; as well as the vocal talents of Lina Rosenthal.

Starting off with 'Kolonie' featuring Limbish - a German speech leads us to a track that delivers funk in spades while also displaying both of these producers' love for complex drums and psytrance atmospherics. This is followed by 'Whistles of Lust' featuring Lina Rosenthal on vocals and Matec on additional production. The trio have delivered a stunning vocal-led liquid roller with a mystifying piano line and gritty basslines. The EP is wrapped up by the title track in which Livid Cheese finds himself 'Lost in The West' with natural foley atmospherics enveloping the track before Livid Cheese gives us a masterclass in drum choppage and sound design while effortlessly telling a narrative through his music.

A man who needs no introduction, Arkwright has stepped up for another release on 4D, this time in the form of the playful- yet driving- 'Unify'. The track starts with a jittering synth, which is eventually joined by a beat and haunting pad. These elements play on, creating a tense and suspenseful build up- to be, as always, release by the drop. The jittering synths leave the track, to be replaced by a grooving sub. Eventually the synths come back, and all these elements interact together in a way only Arkwright could make them. (Word to the wise- don't miss that emotional- almost 80's-esque 2nd drop.)

Arkwright - Unify [4D Exclusive Download]

Toronto production and mastering wizard Schematic returns to Inner City Dance for his most wide reaching project to date, the five track Outsider EP.  After a number of high profile releases over the last year with Hospital Records, Technique and Flight Path, Schematic, real name Dan Dubois, is one of the leading lights out of the new wave of artists bubbling to the surface of the cities long standing legacy with Drum & Bass.  All of Dan's productions display a clinical technical mastery balanced with an innate sense of groove that permeates both in his music and his DJ sets. The Outsider EP represents a multi faceted take on his soul based sound and is the most ambitious output of his career thus far.

Title track "Outsider" showcases Schematics precise clean production, along with his mastery of creating tension and deep melancholy through mournful vocals, and sullen Reece washes. Pensive keys and sleazy bass tones complete the listen giving the track enough weight and emotion to mesmerize any dance floor.
