Based in Sydney, Australia, @OLIIV is a DJ best known for her versatile sweeps of melodic and deep sounds, with a serious penchant for late night indie dance.

Her musical passions have earnt her a residency with Return To Rio, whilst also hosting club nights as co-founder of the The Fan Club Collective. She has curated podcasts that have been featured on international platforms and radio stations, as well as running her own podcast series Fan Club Friends. OLIIV has played shows in Melbourne and Brisbane and has supported names such as Jody Wisternoff, Sébastien Léger, Roy Rosenfeld, Emanuel Satie and Eli Nissan to name a few. She is also the Music Director and co-coordinator for Neomenia - a Sydney based boutique festival.

With some international gigs on the horizon, we can expect more exciting things from her soon.

Hailing from the cohort of DJs who chose to pick up mixing as a lockdown pastime, JUGGY has increasingly found himself being called upon to provide deep and minimal vibrations to dancefloors across Naarm/Melbourne.

Chris’ introduction to electronic music came quite early, frequenting bars and nightclubs throughout his high school years in his hometown of Jakarta, Indonesia. Upon relocating to Australia, Chris fell in love with Naarm/Melbourne’s underground music scene – and through his tribe from the “TOAST” collective, got to know it well.

For this DHM mix, JUGGY puts together a number of tracks that have had his head bopping as of late: a mixture of deep, minimal and ethereal house tunes. Strap yourself for 60-minutes of spacey, house goodness.

Breezy is a stalwart of the Melbourne underground melodic scene. Breezy ran Forgery, a staple on the Naarm scene from 2015 to 2020 its its culmination in the legendary final Beach Weekender. Often globe trotting with his legendary wife, Breezy seeks out the freshest deepest tunes from the most cutting edge USBs. This set is an emotional journey into his most unexplored territory. Breezy felt that Deep House Melbourne was the perfect canvas to cook up a colourful potpourri of musical delights, to mix metaphors. Believe us when we say, the scene is full of posers, but this is the real deal and not to be missed.

Amber Ferraro is an electric, vibrant and soulful DJ. Known for her killer vocals across Naarm in Nu Disco Band Honey, as well as Sunshine and The Disco Faith Choir, her musical skills glide across to the electronic world of Djing. Already in her short career she has spun to sold out crowds at The Night Cat, Abbots Yard for Breakfast Club and Under PRISMA, OnesixOne Nightclub and Revolver Upstairs. Some of her favourite sets have been supporting DJ Koze, Casey Leaver, Bini and playing for Thick as Thieves and Novels ‘Dark Love’. She is the co- creator of Silhouette – a kink curious electronic music event that celebrates and showcases the art forms of DJing, Lights/Visuals and Kink. Not bound by genres but guided by energy and vibe Amber is known for her deep, grooving, euphoric and at times dark tunes.

DJ / Producer and event organiser based in Naarm/ Melbourne, Australia. Co-curator of music brands TOAST, MOTION Festival and Semblance.

Ben hails from Melbourne originally but spent almost 20 years growing up overseas - living in Africa and Asia, and travelling all over the world. This international upbringing has translated across to a diverse taste in music and unique approach to production.

Since returning to Melbourne he has immersed himself in its electronic music and festival scene, hosting notable underground events at parks, beaches, warehouses, and venues all across the city

All the while becoming a talented DJ, he has played at some of Melbourne’s best clubs - including ATET, Revolver, Glamorama, My Aeon, Bourke St Courtyard, 524 Flinders, Colour, Brown Alley, and Electric, among others.

The last year has seen him go from strength to strength, with a debut single release breaking into the Beatport charts, various podcast releases including a set for the renowned Flow Music series, and recent festival slots at Let Them Eat Cake and Beyond The Valley to top it off.

With a focus on pushing an emotive brand of dance music, Mode B has a layered and varied sound that effortlessly straddles between melodic, progressive, afro house, and indie dance.

His debut track 'Pertama' peaked at #74 in the Progressive House Top 100 hype charts on Beatport, and the VA Compilation it featured on peaked at #9 on the Progressive House Charts and #27 on the Melodic House and Techno Charts.

Meet Ben. He is from Dublin, Ireland and has been living in Australia for 3 and a half years now. He has always had a huge passion for music. It started off by playing the guitar and drums as a kid and later transitioned into electronic music where the urge to learn how to DJ began.

Ben has been Dj’ing properly now for just under a year and has had the pleasure of playing at Circus, lucky coq, Killing Time and a few other bars & clubs on the southside.

Matthieu B. is a French DJ/Composer based in New Caledonia. He start his career in the 90’s in France, and composing in 2000.

Walk softly and carry a big stick, as the saying goes. Or in Mas Kato's case, a massive stack of minimal house on wax. Indonesian/Melburnian Mas Kato has quietly risen through the Melbourne scene to become the most in demand minimal DJ, whilst running the mysterious Tokyo Love Hotel Collective. 

It was when Kato saw the record collection of The PDC and The Olivas that he decided to collect vinyl, and subsequently his status amongst his DJ peers increased. Nowadays it is common to catch him playing vinyl only, and the progression seems natural. Kato brings the vibe of an Indonesian island archipelago mixed with underground Berlin. Its this cultural fusion vibe that his fans crave, along with impeccable track selection.

Enter @jackhare6 , a Naarm based DJ/Producer and boss of @euphony.aus . We were so impressed by his 2022 track "Wander" that we instantly uploaded his mix to our series. Which proves, all you need is one solid track to get respect in our scene.

When I was asked to do this mix, I thought long and hard about what I wanted it to say about my style. Instead of digging for new tracks, which is normally what I’d do, I decided to go through all of the music that I’ve been collecting for over a decade and pick out some of the most special tracks that I love. Each record reminds me of a different time in my life. I wanted to show something different, to dig ‘deeper’ into my collection and express my true tastes, not just what you might hear me play in a club or what’s trendy at the moment.

I have tried to encapsulate everything I love about house music within an hour, which is basically an impossible task but hopefully takes the listener on a journey through some of the styles and sounds that I love.

In this mix you’ll find a range of deep driving house records. You’ve got some old school 90’s house from the UK, some rolling french house, a touch of progressive with Sasha and Dave seaman and some more emotional sounds in their as well.  

This is the first mix I’ve recorded in a few years and is very special to me. Enjoy :-)

KJ GRAHAM is your one stop shop for everything house music. Delivering a vast range of genres through mixed media’s that will get anyone moving. 

Kaleb’s has possessed a passion for house as long as he can remember, with taste biased towards chunky baselines, big vocals or a unique melody. Kaleb holds residency at Howler Brunswick where you can catch him occasionally on weekends or events curating the vibe. Always energetic and reactive to the crowd, Kaleb is guaranteed to get the party started. 

This mix mainly focuses on late 90’s early 00’s sound that I’ve been really resonating and pushing recently. A mixture of vinyl and digital tracks that I’ve been collecting for a while whilst I solidify my mindset over a sound I believe defines me. Give it a listen tell us what you think!

A mix can also be a rebrand. In her own words;

"This mix with DHM was a wonderful opportunity to showcase some of my current favourite tracks and kick off a new era and brand! The new brand is a natural progression from the original name (Misbe - which I came up with at university!) with the Be. Coetir means woodlands in Welsh, where my grandfather is from. Also where the musical side comes from! I think music is deeply healing, just like nature, and my main purpose in music and DJing is to allow people to heal and find joy in connection, dance and music."

This mix has a few low key bangers scattered in it - the new Leon Vynehall release was a pleasant surprise. Dropping a Leon Vynehall track in your set instantly elevates you above the myriad of tech-house-chapel-street USB-jays out there. It shows refinement, and good taste in the musical sense. "The Sad Piano" is also a sublime and melancholy moment.

I've had a crush on electronic music since highschool but it wasn't until moving to Berlin in 2013 that I fell head over heels in love with it. Those long nights and endless days spent soaking up the scene were the beginning of the end for me. My passion for collecting, mixing and sharing music has been insatiable ever since. Beautiful, dark and twisted basslines with urgent synths have become my signature sound of late and I ain't mad about it. I hope you enjoy this fresh blast of sound that I recorded especially for DHM.

For almost 20 years, James Steer has consistently and unassumingly contributed to the after-hours soundtrack of Melbourne. Well respected within the underground Melbourne DJ community, James has built a reputation as a selector who deftly balances deep cuts with technical execution. James cut his teeth as one of the founders of the legendary Deep Chord Melbourne parties in the early noughties, showcasing the emerging deep minimal sounds of the time to an eager and receptive audience. The party started off as an intimate affair in the confines of the upstairs space of Pony Bar (later Boney), before finding a true home in the legendary basement space of the Mercat Cross. Since then, James has regularly graced the decks at some of Melbourne’s most iconic nightspots, equally adept at delivering funk and disco laden suppertime soundtracks as heaving excursions into deep dance floor dynamics. Drawing from a vast, genre-defying collection, James’ sets offer the listener/dancer a guided tour through the fundamentals of depth, always evolving and never stagnant, a glimpse into the now, with a respectful nod to what’s come before.

Hi! My name is Nina, and I'm a 21 year old DJ residing in Naarm, originally from Meanjin. I started mixing last year and have begun embarking on a quest to find my sound both through track selection and more recently, producing. Growing up, my parents had a disgustingly large vinyl collection and introduced me to electronic music probably before I could walk. My inspiration stems from the first time I heard songs by artists like Moby, Groove Armada and Everything But The Girl when I was young (this latest mix actually includes one of my favourite tracks from Everything But The Girl - Five Fathoms). I find a lot of my mixes now incorporate some 90s and early 2000s flavour, which is very much an ode to the speakers in my childhood home. On top of that, I love to incorporate songs that remind me of the beach and forests; my love affair with nature is something pretty serious. 

An honourable mention to my favourite deep house track - Vacuum Boogie by Floating Points (I actually have a tramp stamp of the EP cover - fun fact). 

While I am at the beginning of my DJing journey, mixing and producing have been so rewarding for my soul and I cannot wait to continue! :)

Originating from Limerick, Ireland, but now based in Melbourne since 2019, he's been an avid fan of all things house, tech, and everything in between since his university days. He's followed and travelled to some of the best parties, festivals, and clubs across the northern hemisphere, including in London (where he lived for 5 years), Manchester, Dublin, Berlin, Amsterdam, Ibiza, and New York. Now, he's loving what Australia has to offer and considers his travels a valuable education.

With over a decade of DJ'ing experience under his belt, he's only recently started putting his hand up to play out, having been coaxed out of the bedroom and house parties! Focusing on minimal tech & house, his mates would refer to his style as "Chuggers," although he's never one to pass up a happy hour!

Melbourne has provided the perfect platform for him to get out there, especially through his involvement in a small night called Submission which has had some great parties over the last year. Influenced by the likes of Kolter, Chris Stussy, Toman, Vitess, Seth Troxler (for his larger-than-life persona), Nick Curly, Dimmish, ANOTR, and others in that space.

Tong 桐 is the next generation carrier for Chicago/NY House and Detroit Techno in Naarm. Born and raised in Northern China, Tong’s love for dance music emerged in Beijing’s then sole underground club “灯笼 Lantern”. 

Now based in Melbourne and honed skills from top mentors, Tong has shared his music in various events and venues. With a strong focus on “progressive soul”, Tong seamlessly weaves groove, funk, soul and tech in his unique house music sound.
