The 2021 EP 'Portal' by Naarm/Melbourne producer Prizefight makes its long-awaited return as a re-release on Spinning Around. Remastered by Benji Colbourne and remixed by the likes of B.C. Slumber, Caitlin Medcalf, Ekzander, and nickname - the originals are colourfully detailed and expanded upon by friends in the scene, adding a gorgeous collaborative depth to this innovative love-letter to UKG.

In support of "pussy in power" for the Blak women of Australia, all proceeds from 'Credit' will be donated to Djirra - an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation providing legal support, social services and advocacy to Aboriginal women fighting against family violence.

The thirtieth anniversary release of the label is presented by the figure of the German electronic scene from Berlin - Mistigris, with his three-track EP "Shades of Blue", as well as an electro remix from the bright representative of the Moscow electronic scene Marco Lazovic.

Starting with the hypnotic broken electro journey "Ultramarine" where the atmosphere of the tune immerses in the upcoming journey in the electro remix from the Moscow talent Marco Lazovic. Dark as metal, acidic as an element, "Cobalt" continues its journey through the silver-white nebula, and the blue-green "Cyan" with its golden barrel and pritransovanoy atmosephrovoy leads us to the end of the journey on the waves of the future. 
The entire release is written on the old-school legendary Roland MC303.Undoubtedly Cyril and Alexander demonstrate their audacious productive approach by combining retrospective elements into future productions.

Whilst some will know Skins from his days DJing regularly around Oxford, his run of self-released white label techno EPs or 2021’s underground hit 24 Hour Dub, more recently he has turned his attention back to the music which made him fall in love with it all in the first place:

“I vividly remember the effect that the futuristic sounds of 90s jungle and drum ‘n’ bass had on me as a kid, hearing snippets of tracks in video games and later stumbling across artists like Alaska, Future Engineers, Seba, Peshay and LTJ Bukem. After years engrossing myself in the cavernous spaces of dub techno, this record feels like a return to my roots, bringing my style into a new arena which still feels like home. PREMIERE: Yosh - Get Em [Dansu Discs]

The Craft Music label is back after a one year break with some fresh new cuts by resident @marco_lazovic. It's an EP inspired by the sound of the English club scene in the nineties and noughties, labels like Good Looking Records and artists such as Mike Millrain.

Opener 'Losin Control' sure is a compelling mix of electro and breaks that soars on cosmic lines with euphoric vocals in the distance. 'Come To London' has a distinctly garage feel to it with its crisp broken beats and there is more high energy but melody-rich breakbeat action in 'Dark Gravity' while 'Space Jazzy' is s super sweet and deep jungle cruiser. Nørus, the solo project of music producer Felipe Bortoloti, is about to release his new EP, 'Surrounding Sequences'. With previous releases on renowned labels such as Nerang Recordings, Gestalt Records and Deviant Episode, Nørus is known for his creative versatility and ability to produce various genres of music.

His new release could be described as a blend of IDM, Braindance, Breakbeat and Techno. The EP features three original tracks and a remix, in which Vitor Munhoz, Nørus's partner at Somnum Studio, creates a version of 'Brainsuckers'. The entire Mixing and Mastering process took place at Somnum Studio, which has branches in Porto and São Paulo.

'Surrounding Sequences' will be available in vinyl format in a limited edition of 100 copies, making it a unique piece in the collection of any vinyl and electronic music enthusiast. However, for those who prefer digital streaming platforms, the EP will also be available on all of them next April 21st. Pre-orders are already available on Bandcamp, and it is essential for genre fans not to miss the opportunity to acquire a physical copy of this musical masterpiece.

Product Toss joins the NHS for 'Plug Gulp,' a 4-track walk through the springy, sonically-gouged production style that the Newcastle-based artist has offered to the electronica world over the past few years. Disparate in BPM, structure, and inspiration, drawing idiosyncratically from Dubstep, UK Bass, and UK Funky, the vibe is profoundly dynamic and versatile in its engineering. Occupied with mid-frequency hums and inflections, bouncing against tight, syncopated percussion made seemingly from hollowed-out origins.

The journey across the collection follows the progression of mood and atmosphere akin to leftfield club music nightlife, with the artist drawing inspiration from their own experiences across many moments found only after dark. A desire to capture the evolution of such tracks' natural habitat is what informed Product Toss throughout their conception, and the 4 tracks nestle comfortably into this space - functional, DJ-ready tracks destined to influence movement.

'Bile' enters with a swung force characterized by pushing sub pulses, sparse drum patterings, and dripping, fluttery notes, both organic and inorganic in nature. Sensuous and dubby, the piece maintains a healthy homeostasis, shifting subtly with a droning layer of low-end that feels wholly reminiscent of Master Chief's shield recharging. Perhaps appropriate given the track is a weapon.

Faux Poly welcomes more newcomers to the label this summer, this time with a heady collaboration between Vancouver’s underground mainstay Max Ulis and Bristol-based Nina (aka 1/2 of DE-TÜ), featuring a bonus track with Adam 2.

Their EP Mythra was born out of opportunistic collaboration in Vancouver, while Nina was in town for a show. 

Finishing off the EP is the stellar dubstep curveball Testify, a collaboration between Max & Adam 2 using the unique Soma Enner synth alongside vocals from Nina.

Hassan Abou Alam is next to step up to the unconventional Nerve Collect label with six tracks of futuristic club-ready chaos. The finely crafted EP arrives in August and comes on 12" vinyl and via all digital platforms.

Hassan Abou Alam has established himself as one of Egypt's most innovative underground musicians over the last 10+ years. His music is a meeting of disparate worlds - organic and synthetic designs, digital and analogue tools, the traditional and the futuristic, and it has come on the likes of YUKU, Rhythm Section, Banoffee Pies and Casa Voyager. His versatile sound pulls apart existing genres and reconstructs them as something entirely new.

Opener '3asabi' is a stylish sonic assault with thumping rhythms and trippy oscillations that will get any dance floor bouncing. It's fun yet functional, serious yet seductive.

Hassan Abou Alam's blurring of the lines between the real and the imagined is second to none on this EP. It's a sub-heavy mix of the human voice, machine-made sounds and inventive rhythms that make for something new, weird and wonderful.

Vancouver’s Destrata returns to Scuffed Recordings with three new tracks on his Keepsake EP, backed by a remix from SUCHI.

Originally appearing on London-based label Scuffed in 2023 with his Mutationist EP, Destrata picked up support from the likes of Leon Vynehall, rRoxymore, and Anz among others. Having also released with a ‘who’s who’ of electronic labels in his short career including 3024, SPE:C, and Of Paradise, Destrata was also named an artist to watch in 2024 by Mixmag.

Now returning with his Keepsake EP, Destrata describes his latest work as being altogether more melodic than his previous releases, while keeping drum work front and centre - or as he puts it, “My bass music friends think I make techno & my techno friends think I make bass music.”

Destrata’s melodically-focussed outlook is obvious from the outset, with lofty synths and vocal chops contrasting warping bass and skippy percussion across the EP’s three tracks.
