Just me fucking about in the studio with only modular gear. Nothing is prepared (except the patch) or preconceived, no editing or post production of any kind, so just rough-n-ready as it comes, worts-n-all. 

Really this is just for the interest of synth geeks, and in particular wiggler geeks. And for me to document what i've been doing/learning with the modular. 

Do not expect finished tracks, these are noodlings at best.

@chris-nexus-6 is a veteran of the electro scene who started in the mid90s in his French hometown. During these early years, he focused on the old school rave sounds which later on led him to start his devotion to that cold and sturdy electro.  Among his most remarkable deeds we can point out having been the host of a radio program for over 10 years,  reviewing tons of music for infamous sites as Electro Alliance, or Electric Kingdom, being in charge of the artwork of numerous records, as well as running the ongoing electro show Sound Chemistry. Here we have a great podcast that will satisfy all those electro fans keen on the hard-hitting side of the genre. Enjoy it!

Errorbeauty has been meticulously piecing together her impressive catalogue  of releases since beginning DJ ing back in 2003.A professional flute musician  by way of background, she gradually became drawn to electronic music’s  intricately textured soundscapes - more specifically the broken, aggressive  shades of Detroit Electro and Techno.

Her work continues to evolve and offers listeners a distinct reflection of Motor  City’s relationship with the genre whilst demonstrating her own unique  perspective of Electro, which brought her four times to the legendary club  Tresor.

While living in Berlin she has performed at Berlin’s underground event series  Skizze in OHM as well as Bold, Exquisite Berlin and Disobedient Circumstance  at Suicide Circus Berlin to name a few and was a resident Dj at the well  respected Suicide Circus Berlin club.

In 2021 she was also invited to perform at the mighty Boiler Room X Faza Sofia  that took place in her homeland Bulgaria
Errorbeauty has previously released music for Arkada ,Earthlings ,Crobot Muzik ,Combat Recordings,Section 27,Subsonic Device,The Electro  Compendium,Zodiak Commune Records,Outlaw 303 and has contributed a  track together with Serge Geyzel for Pyramid Transsmisions PTV15  compilation.Another track of her own on Zwaartekracht 3.A and a track of her  production that was released on Pyramid Transmissions label from the amazing  compilation Interstellar Communications Vol 2.1s and many more..


In 2018 together with XOR12, she launched the Electro/Techno record label  Arkada Records with already 3 vinyl releases ahead.
Coming soon is Arkada 004 featuring the sounds of ADJ and Adrien D’Elzius.

First day of owning the MakeNoise Shared System. This is my third jam with it and also the third recording. The other recordings where a drone for the first one and a less impressive version of this plinky plonkness (consider that recording as a warm-up for this one) ;-) - those recordings will get used in other compositions. This upload though I wanted to keep in the spirit of the shared system series.

This recording is just me getting used to using the system and is inspired by the youtube tutorials by MakeNoise.

The verb is provided by the Valhalla Halls card in a Z-DSP. 

No other processing has been done.

My first introduction to DJ Stingray was from this mix I obtained of his appearance in Rotterdam's "famous to those who knew" Bootleg DJ Cafe in 2003. Back then his style was something I had never heard before and the sound made an profound impact on me as something new, fast, hard but funky and very futuristic.

Some of the tracks in this mix have been on my wishlist for ages, a  a lot have never been identified. As always, feel free to comment if you know any of them.

About the Lecture: Lt. Col. Dave Blair (USAF) will discuss his book Chasing Jericho: Tactical Adaptation in the Royal Navy's West Africa Squadron and the Eventual Sudden Collapse of the Atlantic Slave Trade.

On the 25th of March, 1807, the British Empire turned from the primary backer of the Atlantic Slave Trade to its most powerful adversary. Between that date and 1867, the year the last known Atlantic slave ship sailed, the British spent tens of millions of pounds and lost thousands of sailors in the course of suppressing the trade. Their foreign office bribed and pressured European sea-going powers into an international treaty network against the trade, backed by Royal Navy cruisers. Royal Navy officers built a network of treaties with leaders on the West African coast, similarly by way of economic incentives, pressure and at times, force. The British were willing to act unilaterally, even assaulting Brazilian slave ships at their moorings in the Americas. Amidst all of this, the perennially controversial effort faced vocal doubts as to its efficacy and social value, and was nearly called off in the late 1850s. The outcome of this campaign -- the eradication of the Atlantic Slave Trade -- is remarkable amongst illicit market suppression attempts for its clear success...

Without the campaign of the British Royal Navy against the Atlantic slave trade, which campaign is today largely forgotten, the immense work of William Wilberforce in declaring that trade illegal would likely have been meaningless as the slave trade would have continued much as before. More pertinent to the 21st century, the Royal Navy's strategy and tactics provide lessons that can prove useful in today's transnational security challenges.

About the Speaker: Lt. Col. Dave Blair (USAF) is a Senior Special Operations Aviation Advisor at the Office of the Secretary of Defense, where he works on emerging aviation technology, artificial intelligence, and competitive strategies. He is a proud graduate of a Small Technical College on the Front Range of the Rockies (Class of 2002); he also holds a Masters from Harvard and a Doctorate from Georgetown as a member of the first class of the CSAF's Prestigious PhD Program. He is an Evaluator Pilot in Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), with more than 2,000 combat hours in six theaters of combat in the AC-130 Spooky Gunship, MQ-1 Predator, and MQ-9 Reaper.
