This b2b mix unfolds in 30-minute chunks, blending deep, rounded grooves, otherworldly synths, and lush sunny textures—including a few rare vinyl gems to kick off the year. Drox delivers choice house and Detroit deep cuts, while 16 Faces leans into UK garage, bass, and grimey-tinged flavours.

A soulful, summery ride with just the right amount of grit.

It’s a shift from our usual darker, more pensive sound—but a perfectly timed to the Euro summer on the horizon. Hope you enjoy the selections.

In the ethereal realm of the void there existed The Delphic Iris, a being of otherworldly power and boundless knowledge. The Iris was said to possess the ability to see into the future and hear unique and strange sounds from times and dimensions beyond our grasp. 

Legend has it that with a specific alignment of space and time, and with the mastering of secret ritual practices, The Delphic Iris can be conjured by mortal musicians to ignite and inspire their souls.

History's stark warnings tells us that summoning The Delphic Iris is fraught with danger and risks the possible collapse of our universe, for the Iris is an unstable and powerful being. However, The Delphic Iris' visions are often too tempting to resist much like a Siren's song.  

In recent years, electronic musicians Drox and 16 Faces came across the existence of the Delphic Iris through secret texts found in "the Book of Tidder" and were able to command its power for short periods of time, and so “Delphic Iris Records” was born.

Fortune has been kind to Drox and 16 Faces so far, despite the obvious risks of summoning the entity. We do not know why this is exactly, as the ceremonies are still to this day shrouded in mystery. What we do know is that we too are lucky, because now we can hear a small glimpse of what The Delphic Iris sees.

  It is up for debate as to whether The Delphic Iris’s intentions are good or evil, so listen with caution and may these sounds consume you, for the future of music looks promising, at least for now ….

16 Faces, the co-owner of Delphic Iris Records, is an enigmatic and experimental Berlin-based musician and producer with a keen interest in vinyl culture and a DIY approach to his craft. His productions and performances, as the name suggests, encompass a range of multifaceted styles, often skewing towards the strange, moody, and percussive, with a strong emphasis on unique sound
worlds. Originating from the arid suburbs of Australia and previously based in London, he has an extensive background that has taken him across several continents, enriching his deeply nuanced work with diverse inspirations. His influences include spaced-out ambient electronics, rich IDM rhythms, and a profound appreciation for a diverse array of dystopian UK styled bass music.

For the past year, 16 Faces has been part of Martyn's 3024 mentoring program, where he is honing his arranging skills and delving further into discussions on community building, justice, and integrity within today's electronic music scene and recently had a single out as part of 3024's Undercurrent Vol1 compilation.

During the pandemic, he collaborated with the independent Japanese fashion brand Beaugan. His previously unreleased track "Into the Abyss" was reworked into an eerie ambient synth score for their surreal and mysterious short film "Circadian," released in 2020 and featured on XLR8R.

He has also collaborated with the UK conceptual-noise tape label Algebra of
Need, touring Japan with them. His productions have received positive praise and DJ support from notable artists such as Clouds, Cici, Hybrid Theory, Bloodtrust, Adam Beyer, and Jacques Greene, establishing his credible clout in the industry.

Drox is an Australian  DJ, live act and producer recently relocated to the Gold Coast / Yugambeh.

His DJing style can be described as heavily influenced by electro, industrial and bass music. 

His sound embodies a spontaneous charm that nods to early 90s Detroit machine music, rich IDM sounds, and dystopian sci-fi tones.

Jamie B is a record collector & DJ from the UK residing in Sydney, Australia. He's been collecting vinyl for over 3 decades with an eclectic range of influences including Punk, Dub, Hip Hop, Electro, Disco, House, Techno & everything in between.

In the early 90’s, Jamie fell in love with the sounds of Electro, UK Bleep & Bass & Detroit Techno. Inspired by DJ's such as Dave Clarke, Andrew Weatherall, Laurent Garnier & Jeff Mills, he began crafting his skills & playing gigs around London. Today his style favours Deep House, Techno & Electro sounds, with a strong focus on mixing things up & dropping curveballs to keep the dancefloor on its toes.
 
Alongside fellow crate digger, Raffi Irie Lovechild, Jamie hosts SOKA LOKA MOKI, a monthly night of eclectic sounds where you’ll hear the likes of Chaka Khan, Kraftwerk & Prince, rubbing shoulders with A Tribe Called Quest, Larry Heard & Moodymann.

Jamie is also a member of GOT MUSIC, a convergence of DJs & artists hosting regular events in Sydney exploring the deeper pockets of electronic music.

All DJ mixes are recorded live using 2X Technics 1200's & a Xone: 23 mixer.

Aided FBI fm in getting they're fulltime radio licence with the show Susupect Device.
Resided at the Cricketers arms for many years.
Always had an interest in producing music for the mind and beats for the feet.
