Disquiet Junto Project 0572: Rhythm Kit
The Assignment: Make a beat that someone else will add to.

On ebay I shot an old, rancid, scuffed Casio PT-1 as a restoration object for the holidays. It came yesterday and at the same time the disquiet junto mail came in. And it worked. Ah, I liked these rhumba rhythms like I did 40 years ago. Originally I just wanted to contribute that. But then I recorded a 4 bar loop and used 4 tracks on reaper to play around with some fx. I exported it and gave it some structure in Reaper.  It's now only the original loop plus fx. I think there is plenty of room for a second voice. 

The pure PT-1 is hearable in the beginning. I also put the original loop to https://freesound.org/people/krakenkraft/sounds/665090/ 

It's plain vanilla 120bpms.

A guitar improvisation through the one of the Triad patches I made for Disquiet 576.

When I first read the prompt, I was tempted to improve a piece I like but that was poorly mixed. But then the fact that my flute is at the repair shop this week for maintenance gave me a different idea. What if I revisited a flute piece but with an instrument I'm not as into these days, the guitar?
