Ray Lying By The Pool 2022

This set has significant meaning to me.  It was dedicated to someone very special. A lot of love and good intensions were put into this set during my performance because of one big reason.  It was for my soon to be born son.  The love and appreciation I received during this set was something truly unforgettable.  Not to the mention the setting, sunset, people dancing above me on our artcar The BOOMBOX, smiles everywhere and an energy so strong you could feel the hair on your arm standing up.

I'm grateful that I can play a live instrument (mostly piano) while I take people on a musical journey.

I hope you enjoy this as much as I did when I played this set.

To be very honest, the original one has some issues so I edited with the help of my rekordbox history, maybe some moments of tension created by looping or adding effects are not here, but I hope it does not disturb your listening experience.

Imagine a young DepGlobe, just 8 years old, whose world revolved around the enchanting Dutch radio shows like "The Rock and Roll Method." In the blink of an eye, he became an ardent disciple of musical legends such as Gene Vincent, Elvis, and The Beatles. The year 1981 witnessed his first affair with vinyl ecstasy, a 12" single that none other than New Order's "Everything's Gone Green." But his musical journey was far from ordinary, for luminaries like Patrick Cowley and Giorgio Moroder had already begun weaving their enigmatic influence into his soul during the early '80s.

Fast forward to 1983, when a fire was ignited within DepGlobe, thanks to the trailblazing Ben Liebrand. He embarked on a thrilling odyssey, crafting his own magnetic mixes with a "cut and paste" finesse that ignited high school parties, and soon, the DJ decks at student gatherings. Following the release of his mesmerizing Lowlands Series, he inaugurated "DepGlobe's NoEgo Sounds" in November 2011.
