“Enemy” began with a lo-fi demo recorded by singer Liam Connors in 2023. The band would reconvene in the summer of 2024 and record the majority of its forthcoming debut album in one week at Hilda Music Co. with co-producer and mixing engineer, Joe Rom. The song was mastered by Billy Mannino at Two Worlds Recording Studio. "Enemy” arrives on October 31st, along with an accompanying video by Sixth Cents.

Ego, the first single from his rock album Prison Of Modesty, set for release in June 2026. ‘Ego is a kick ass rock song with an infectious chorus and a killer solo. Everyone should listen to it’, Kuiper laughs.

Then, on a more serious note. ‘It’s a song about how your Ego can keep you small. Being narrow minded in life comes from an Ego that is too big. It happens to me too sometimes’, Kuiper says with a wink.

In Ego, Martin mixes personal experiences with observations from everyday life. 'An ego can be nourished by an upbringing in which you are the centre of attention. Too much love without boundaries is fertile for an Ego.'

Kuiper wrote the song a while ago, right after his first child was born. ‘Once you become a father you start to look back on your own youth and struggles while growing up. That’s basically the story behind Ego.’

Ego is the first song of the rock album Prison Of Modesty. ‘I love rock music and Prison Of Modesty is a dream come true. The album will be released in June next year.’

For the ten songs on Prison Of Modesty Kuiper worked with Henk Wesselink and Ymte Koekkoek of the rock band Money & The Man and Jim Zwinselman and Erik Neimeijer. Producer Guido Aalbers mixed and mastered the tracks. ‘It was really special to work with such talented people. They really turned my songs into big rock anthems!’

Martin Kuiper’s journey in music is not your typical story. He released his first song in 2023 when he was 49 and his musical output has been steady since then with the folkrock album To Feel Is To Believe, the live ep To Hear Is To Believe and the five song ep Dreaming Of Sea Of Time. Now it is time to rock for Martin Kuiper, with Ego being his first impressive card on the table.

Devansh is a multi-instrumentalist, producer, and vocalist based in London by way of Brooklyn and Singapore. He writes modern groove music that blends together elements of psychedelic soul, funk, jazz, indie pop, and world music. 

After years of co-producing and playing trumpet for other bands, Devansh is releasing his debut solo music in 2022, including the first single "What We Don't See", co-produced by Jordan Rakei. It was played on BBC Radio and lauded by Stereofox as a "groovy blend of modern funk, soul, and indie-pop giving off Jungle vibes."
 
Working with the London scene’s top musicians, from Rudi Creswick (bass for Tom Misch) to Ellis Dupuy (drums for Puma Blue), Devansh is fusing his international upbringing and New York City jazz background into a singular, exciting sound.
