Today’s premiere comes from Ukrainian DJ and producer Recid on Nastia’s imprint, Nechto. The track ‘Green Horse’ offers an intense yet melancholic trip through striking rhythms and wandering pads.

The third release on Nastia’s Nechto imprint embodies the artist’s aim to seek new ways of approaching music production – through creating various chains of midi effects, Recid offers an auditory piece of work that consists of unimaginable and striking variations of drums, melodies, and noises.

The EP is inspired by equestrianism and the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, delivering at times an intense mood and narrative. The EP took a few years in the making, with some of the tracks being recorded more than two years ago in Crimea, with the rest finalized in Kyiv.

Recid, whose real name is Andrey Dyachenko, has been one of the key figures in Ukraine’s electronic music scene. Having played in Kyiv’s most prolific underground venues and events, including Nastia’s thrilling “NECHTO” showcases, Recid is now the resident of the renowned ∄ club on Kyrylivska 41 and continues to grow both as a masterly DJ and distinctive music producer.

The artist is driven by music’s unpredictability and how the collision of several styles can create a continuous rhythm that can excite the human mind. “These are sounds that manipulate human consciousness and that are capable of causing a real addiction, from which I will never rid myself of”, Recid says. 

‘Green Horse’ displays a softer but no less intense side to Recid’s work. Meandering pads glide across the track as striking drums give a cathartic feel to the track. This is a go to closing track after a long night of dancing, a feverish dream through intricate melodies and rhythms.

The guest of the next episode of our podcast series is a digger, vinyl collector and a member of the WE LECIM collective, who is stationed in Katowice every day. Today in the #183 installment we welcome Shhron!

[BIO]:
Shhron – DJ and promoter from Katowice (Poland). Known mainly with his selection orbiting around electro and techno generes. In his music libary you can find also a lot of faster tracks with „ghetto” flavours. He collects vinyl and digital releases. 

One of five members from WE LECIM collective. On the stage present since 2020. From the beginning fascinated with futuristic electro vision which we’ve could meet around 80’s and 90’s in the Detroit electro pioneers releases.

Involved with promoting electro generes on the silesian stage. This is why he could share stage for example with Jensen Interceptor, Sansibar or Luz1e. 
His music selection visited most of the leading polish underground clubs: P23 (Katowice), Szpitalna 1 (Krakow), Ciało (Wroclaw), Jasna 1 (Warsaw), Schron (Poznan). Presently you can find him regularly at club CEL (Katowice), with which he is unofficialy connected.

Christian also known as “@CERROT” is an electronic music producer, DJ and live performer born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico and now residing in Barcelona and actively working a little project with Planetaria Music & Discos Marcianos👽
The Barcelona based artist has been graduated since 2017 from Full Sail University where he studied recording arts (Audio engineering)
He got acclaimed remixes from Cristi Cons and Maher Daniel Fast forward a couple of years and his sound began to develop into a faster level, this led to development of his own sound composed by a fast, energetic, raw and undone style🎶
He later went on to release music on Nina Kraviz’s @triprecordings (hot steel and hot steel 2) later in February 2022 he released his solo debut LP on Trip Recordings with 11 tracks (iteritax).
@cerrot is a great multiskilled artist who comes make the best out of @discosmarcianos dj booth⚡🎧🎶

What inspires your creative work?
Little glichtes or stumbles that I've never heard before that make a song interesting.

What is your motivation/intentions?
Just having fun? I am Djing for 9 years now and never saw it as a career or anything. I am always humbled if someone wants to book me. There is so much talent out there!

What was your first genre that caught your interest in music?
I think back in the days it was probably New Rave, French Touch, Future Garage and all this weird and short-lived crossover genres that made me turn to electronic music. Before I listened a lot to Soul, RnB, Jazz and Rap.

What is/are your most memorable moment
That’s really hard to pin down!

Describe your style in a tweet 
Oi... I’ve been playing Rap music, Jazz, Techno, House, Bass.....idk.... I am always evolving and easily bored. But currently I like to play Progressive House with my Galleur alias and very hard hitting Trance with my b2b project Surf 2 Glory.

Name your funniest playlist name.
I always sort everything by genre. Therefore, no funny surprises.

THC, Malugi , Sedaction, Ttyfal, Evin, Zeynep, Ferrari Rot , Jessica Nightlife , Zips, DHC, Sanaz

What are your thoughts on interdisciplinarity?
We should all support each other. As soon as I dig someone’s character, energy or work, I should be supportive. Nothing else.
