Myk Derill’s transit into electronic dance music was a steady one. His early influences involved a plethora of musical genres & that eclecticism still motivates him today. A rock edge, punk stance, funk / hip hop riffs all rooted their way in as ideas to expand. In 2005, he began to produce & turn those ideas into reality. At first, Myk found inspiration from his friends at Fachwerk Records but then went on to decisively strengthen his own unrivaled sound

Steppin up to the present & after numerous releases, he now produces exclusively on Knotweed Records . He continues to establish an output with
 Credo,Gynoid Audio etc…Myk’s productivity fuses commanding basslines / rhythmic sections with dub, detroit flavors, & futuristic atmospheres / melodies

His sound / DJ sets never sacrifice on that element of soul or that dash of funk that killah techno with heart / groove requires. Myk wants to take us into experimental, other worldly dimensions but human or alien…it has to resonate with something deep inside. Brendon Moeller is a boundary-pushing producer whose sound is rooted in dub and techno and incorporates subtle undertones of jazz and afrobeat.

Brendon grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa. Throughout his childhood and teenage years, he learned piano and drums, finding particular inspiration in the music of artists such as Fela Kuti, My Bloody Valentine, De La Soul and Kraftwerk.

However, it was not until 1993, when Brendon moved to New York City, that his own individual style began to develop. With NYC as his base, he has worked with several prominent labels and collaborated with artists like Mikey Dread, Speedy J, Mutabaruka and MATRiXXMAN.

With dozens of EPs, singles and albums to his name, Brendon’s love for experimenting with sound has created an endless source of inspiration to continuously self-reflect and advance his music. Brendon is consistently striving to reinvent himself and skillfully influence the dub scene in the process.
