Don't Wake Me Up If It's Over (acoustic live demo)

Mark Wheatley writing and recording music. In 2022 I started co-writing with Simon Gibson, we are planning to release an Album next year. Some of the songs here are demo tracks for the album. The Jazz and Blues Rona Wheatley section are old recordings of my Mother that date back to the 1960's. She had a lovely voice no effects in those days!

Digsby are a 5-piece Bristol-based band, big on 3-part harmonies and catchy Americana rock. 

Digsby’s sound has been described as ‘sophisticated retro-pop’, combining indie rock, folk, blues and alt-country work with catchy melodies, three-part harmonies with 60s and 70s inspired song writing.

The band’s debut EP, ‘Started’ was received very well by the media, with multiple songs played on BBC Introducing West, as well as BBC 6 musics’ Tom Robinson’s Fresh on the Net (‘Doubling Down’ was one of the top tracks of the week). The following EP saw single ‘E Forever’ featured as the ‘big new sound’ on BBC Bristol , with the following single ‘One of a Kind’ receiving airplay in the UK on the BBC and internationally, and enthusiastic press reviews. The latest release, Old Fashioned Love (2025) was chosen as the featured track on BBC Introducing in the West. The band have spent the summer 2025 playing festivals in preparation for the release of their debut album in early 2026.

Digsby started as a solo project by Joe Webb (previously known as Skazka Project). Digsby’s debut EP, ‘Started’ has been released in February 2019, followed by the Invisble People EP in 2022.

Joe has since been joined by Harry Surman (drums), Susie Broadbent (keys and vocals), Amy Bevan (guitar and vocals) and Ben Hooton (bass). They have a new album, 'Death of the Party', to be released towards the end of 2025.

Lucy Dunleavy is a London born singer-songwriter, now living in Bristol. Her work is very much based around folk, country and blues, although her lyrical style, mirrors the many genres of music which inspire her. Be it hip hop, techno, drum and bass, pop, indie or rock, she will bop to it all.

One common theme throughout all of Lucy's work is an honest vocal style, harmonies and meaty lyrics, full of double entendres.

Legal Statement from Funcleroy Vinyl Inc.;
~After a late night business meeting, somewhat influenced by Tequila Sunrises and Damp Donkeys, Funcleroy Vinyl signed SealedGnu on a Five album deal, paying a sizable advance including recording costs for the first album. Since that day we have neither seen nor heard from Mr.Gnu and after accepting our generous advance he has effectively disappeared. An investigator retained by our legal department has recently recovered a pawn ticket from a last known address.The Pawn ticket from a broker in Baton Rouge-louisiana itemised a colt.45 and a laptop, these tracks are what has for so far been recovered from the laptop, we have attached photographs also found on the laptop in the hope someone may recognise Mr Gnu and contact us, video evidence also provided, our cleaner Consuela won the Colt.45 in the Christmas raffle.
Due to liquidity issues at Funcleroy Vinyl Inc. we are unable to release this album on a commercial basis. Although there is some debate within the office as to the musical merits of these tracks, Consuela and her Colt.45 are currently winning the argument in favour of Mr Gnu's abilities, we have released the 'Baton Rouge Pawn ticket sessions' in the vain hope someone with the appropriate facilitational capabilities may wish to the purchase all rights to this album and promote and distribute accordingly. Funcleroy Vinyl Inc. are hoping to recoup our initial advance and subsequent recovery costs. Any sensible offers will be considered. We are looking for a swift resolution to this matter as we have been unable to pay staff wages recently and Consuela is getting pissed !~
