For Clint's second solo effort on Second State he brings us two big room jams. With the Throwing Stones EP he takes the same approach as he did with the previous Warpaint EP by going for two different vibes on either side of the record. 
On the A side we have 'Throwing Stones'; a peak time club tune perfect for dark spaces and strobe lights. With giant rolling sub bass, a heavy kick, crisp hi hats and crunchy hand claps the groove slowly grows into a big break with atmospheric chimes and vocal snippets. Soon you are lost in an ethereal break, but suddenly snapped back into reality as the bass changes and a single looping synth takes center stage creating a driving yet euphoric peak time floor filler. 
With the flip side, Clint goes for a warmer, uplifting tone with 'Come Undone'. Starting with finger snaps and a growing arpeggio, the vibe slowly builds as big toms and dreamy atmospherics introduce a massive sub bass line. As a shaker creeps up and another synth blends with the original arpeggio the beat finally drops. A solid four to the floor groove ensues and culminates into a wash of delayed chimes as the breakdown introduces the lead; an unforgettable brass line that is sure to have all the hands in the air at a sunny open air or a morning at the club.

BIOG
Aroop Roy is a UK artist and producer with over 10 year's experience taking his eclectic sounds around the world.
His music blends together the organic elements of jazz, afro, latin and funk with the deep electronic edge of house and techno. His productions have been supported worldwide by numerous tastemakers and DJs.
Aroop has released music on a variety of labels including Freestyle, Gamm, Basic Fingers, the Gym and My Best Friend. His recent Brazilian Breakdown series and Reworks EP have been hugely successfully with vinyl selling out and digital EPs topping the charts. 
From tropical parties and jazz nights, to house and techno clubs, Aroop has DJ'd in 5 continents and had residencies in London, Geneva and Tokyo, where he played an important part in the underground scene with hugely popular and innovative club nights absolute!!, Exposure and Culture.
Other highlights include his highly acclaimed compilation CD absolute!! Sounds From Tokyo, and an invitation to do a guest mix on Gilles Peterson's Worldwide radio show. He was also selected for the Red Bull Music Academy in Melbourne.

'Kirie' is one of ‘those’ tracks. It gets better with every listen and you hear something different every time. You won’t forget it, and you can’t get it - taken from the hard to obtain ‘A Moca do Mar’ LP on Tapecar in 1976, previously unavailable on 7”. Long championed by Gilles Peterson and co.

Tight uplifting guitar changes, layered percussion and super-subtle strings groove under Georgette’s vocal, backed by a chorus of male vocals.

We are delighted to release this track, just in time for summer. Special thanks to Gareth ‘The Knowledge’ Stephens for digging it up.


As if the A Side wasn’t enough… The AA side features one of Claudia’s best, ‘Com Mais de 30’ a cover of Marcos and Paulo Sergio Valle original version.

Fuzz guitars, piano, huge drums, percussion and Claudia’s soaring vocal make for a heavy yet uplifting MPB/funk track of the highest order.

Features on her hard to find ‘Jesus Cristo’ LP on Odeon in 1971. Also featured on the Fourtet and Floating Points Plastic People mix.

Icona Pop and electronic duo Louis the Child have teamed up for a new song called "Weekend." They've shared a video for the song, in which Icona Pop sing as a group of youths—shirtless, rowdy, free—enjoy the titular weekend. Watch it below. "We work hard and play hard, we are constantly jet lagged and we do things at weird times," Icona Pop said in a statement. "This song is about our beautiful chaos that we think a lot of people can relate to." Louis the Child shared a statement, too: “The idea for this song was started on a cruise ship, developed in an airport, and finished with a bunch of friends in the studio. Music is a non-stop lifestyle.”

Belgian in origin, Igor Vicente and DkA join forces to create two monster tracks for their 'Haus Boo EP' on Hot Creations. Championed by Jamie Jones, Lee Foss and Richy Ahmed it arrives hot on the heels of Hot Creations’s Paradise events series announcement for Ibiza 2016, this is music made for those heady nights on the DC10 terrace.

On the A-side is 'Haus Boo' which the guys created after being inspired by the all time classic The House Master Boyz and The Rude Boy Of House 'House Nation'. Taking the release into a much darker realm is 'Shady' with a seriously addictive beat, endless high-hats and relentless snares.

Infatuated with music from a young age, Igor Vicente founded the Belgian Wildfamily Parties in which Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, Dinky and Matthew Styles among others have all played. Some years later he formed one half of Ultrasone, and has released on Get Physical, Mobilee and Hot Creations multiple times. These days you can catch him playing at one of his two residencies in Belgium, Cafe d'Anvers and Fuse, and founding the label State of Flow.

DkA has his roots firmly placed in the house music scene and has taken his sounds all over Europe, whilst releasing on Get Physical Music, Mobilee Records and Play Label Records to name just a few.

Release Info:
Straight after his contribution to the splendid Delusions of Grandeur compilation and collaboration with Sebastien Vorhaus aka “Soul of Hex” as well as his latest EP's on the Russian “Capital Bass” label and "Swedish Brandy" Ponty Mython is back with a full swung EP packed with cosmic deep house tunes.

“How To Get Your Life Together And Succeed” sets the pace for the record, bringing together a kaleidoscope of sounds in Ponty Mython’s signature style, soul meets dance floor punch. “Changes We Go Through” oozes hip shaking appeal, a deep and sleazy bass line leads the charge on this bumping house track. “Watch Over Him” slows things down a touch with live funk and jazz licks conjuring images of session musicians jamming in a smokey club, urging you to get down.

On the top of the B-side, we have man of the moment Red Rack’em who delivers a wonderfully “Wonky” house remix in his very unique style, casually combining elements from three of the originals. Next up we have “Love Is Not A Thing”, another body moving sultry deep house offering, dripping with soul, as easy vocals ramble over lazy keys and lively percussion. Finally, easing us to the end of our outing in the sonic stratosphere is “Lopp 17”, back in the funk realm, with some tropical percussion thrown in and a steady grooving bottom end to keep heads nodding right to the last moment.

All in all one of the most exciting and Musical records we have ever released .. and with 3 tracks per side this is somehow more a mini Album than EP .
