The "Weimar EP" from singer/songwriter Albyrd is not only his first release under a new moniker; as his first self-produced record, it also marks one of many new beginnings. The end of the pandemic, the blossoming and withering of relationships - and of course, a tribute to his time in the city and how life's perspectives change.

In 8 songs, Albyrd shows not only the range of his magnificent voice, but also how well soul and RnB can be interwoven with electronic music. With a feature from Miles Bonny, Mr. Lumberjack Soul himself, this tape is definitely one for the shelf.

Growing up with and influenced by the sounds of TR-909 or TR-808 which surrounds you, then you would recognize Adham Zahran's signature sound and his unique skills when he plays with rhythms and catchy melodies, especially on this 'Grain Galaxy'. He also brings us tracks such as 'Ocean Falls' and 'Synth Funk Suit 1' full of pleasant dreamy vibrations that would sound amazing at your local venue, as well as if you just let the decks play at home for your own listening session. Head of Umanuto Records Javas remixed the original 'Grain Galaxy' as a classic house leg warmer to get it moving on the dance floor.

Two years after his first release on our label we are very glad to have “Love Will Say No” from northern Italy back with another stellar mix of styles mini album/ extended EP! From Dark Disco to Cut up House and soulful Groove, you can find it all in this beautiful package of songs. Always looking to the farther left field side of dance music and never forgetting the strength of the dance floor sound, something that really touches us and makes us proud to release, certainly what Dirt Crew always stood for in our 20 years of existence. A true unique style!

This time we let the artist himself put some words on the tracks as it really describes his sound in the best possible way;
Carry the Fire - One of my musical myths since I was a kid is for sure the birth of Hip Hop and those early days.

Kool Herc and the merry-go-round, those breaks, those grooves, the essence of dancing stripped to the bone. Even today, with all that technology available, that must be the seed of what we’re doing. So this track is my tribute to that. And happens to be released exactly 50 years after the birth of Hip Hop. The title is a reference from “The Road” by Cormack McCarthy, and also if I chose that when he was still alive, in the end happened to be a tribute also to him.

Time Is the Perfect Lover - Yes it is. Damn power of memories to distort the reality of our past, tryin’ to trick us.

You’ll Know When - A French touch track like many I wrote in more than 20 years, but full of the bittersweet eyes of a 40 years old man.
When you’re 20, you hope for things to happen. When you’re 40, you hope to be able to recognise when things happen.

Gonna Summer - First track I wrote as Love Will Say No, almost 10 years ago. Never satisfied with the first result, I wanted to give new life to it. The Roulé seed is still there, the mellon collie rhodes chords too, but now the groove is working for a late sunset as I always hoped.

Red Window - Summer. Late night. Making music in my apartment. Too hot. Almost pitch dark outside on the streets, with no sound a round. Just one single window in sight. With a red light. Never discovered anything more.

This War Is Finally Lost - Ending a relationship, of any kind, could be a relief. Even if we lose. Winning is not important anymore as is ending. Exactly like wars.

Southbound Sounds, a musical duo hailing from Cork, Ireland, known for their captivating deep house and techno compositions that have garnered recognition from prominent figures like Fish Go Deep, Chez Damier, Norm Talley, Delano Smith, Stuart Patterson, Mark Farina, and more, present an EP paying tribute to the legendary figure of Detroit, Mike Huckaby.Titled "Educator," this release, available on Deeper Groove Recordings in November, features three original tracks and a remix courtesy of another talented Irish artist, John Daly.The EP's titular track embarks on a profound journey into the realm of deep house, skillfully incorporating samples of Mike Huckaby's voice, where he shares, "First of all, I'm a DJ, producer, sound designer, and educator." Vocalist and drummer, John Christian Urich, says that when it comes to writing and recording, he always aims to bridge the gap between studio production and performing the music live. “I try to create strong songs that will work with the full production or would still be strong ‘unplugged’. The vocals on this track are a bit more aggressive than other Tortured Soul recordings, digging a little more into a live performance sound”.
