Holgans Are Dead collects the last six tracks of this iteration of Calgary psych-pop dreamers Holgans—primarily the core duo of songwriter Ryan Bourne (also of Sleepkit and Chad VanGaalen & the Bleach Wipes) and vocalist/visual artist Kiarra Albina, with friends. Produced between 2013-15 by Bourne, Holgans Are Dead hits the psychedelic sweet spot: swirling pop rocks in the nature-drone served lush and spellbound, oozing with depth and texture.
