Part 31 of my Intelligent Drum and Bass mix series featuring forthcoming mindblowing releases (due to be released February 2022) from ASC and Aural Imbalance on the amazing new label Spatial (one to watch out for) !

Also features one of my favorite EP's of recent times from Liquid Silk (known as Worldwide Epidemic on the Jungle Techno scene) with a real Old Skool feel and uplifting Atmospheric vibes.

Includes also a modern take on an unreleased classic from LTJ Bukem & Flytronix - Consciousness currently unreleased and played back in 1993 and which at the time was well ahead of it's time.   The remix is superb.

Finally the mix also features upfront Atmospheric beats from Trident, Mineral, Woken Balance and Moakz and an all time classic remix of a classic Atmospheric track by Earl Grey (Ron Wells) remixed by the legends that are Intense.

90 minutes of pure atmospherical blissed out sonix.

Cinematic Jungle & 160 DJ/Producer/Remixer from the South Coast UK. Co-owner of Codename: Amen events.

DJing and crate digging since his teens, Moakz (Jon) was resident and promoter for the highly regarded Offshore & Toast events in Southampton during the mid-late 90's and early 00's, and was also an old-skool hardcore resident for Adrenalin during the same period, playing at numerous other events and free parties during this period. He subsequently co-produced and released several Nu-Skool Breaks tracks under the pseudonym Mobius on Ape Records, Dusted Breaks, VIM Records and Yellow Finger.

Moakz has recently returned, energised by the contemporary jungle and atmospheric sounds, with a new sound and several releases in quick succession which merge atmospheric elements with timeless breaks to deliver a mix of both epic dancefloor jungle and serene melodies. Soaring amens, space-age synths and rolling bass combine perfectly in his music and DJ sets which draw on both the classic and modern jungle and atmospheric sounds, from time to time drawing on elements of old-skool breakbeat Hardcore and more mature Liquid and Autonomic vibes.

2023 brings a succession of releases including the forthcoming 'Big Ideas EP' on Liquid Drops on 27th January, compilation tracks on Deep In The Jungle, One More Tune, and Eco Futurism Corporation, several remixes and further releases to be announced.

Moakz is a co-owner and resident of Codename: Amen, a Southampton-based event focussing on modern and classic Jungle, 160, Breakbeats, Hardcore and Atmospheric DnB / Jungle.
