Ecstatic Dance Vienna - Mystical Experience

More than festival. That’s Sacred Gathering.

 Fifth edition of this special reunion was real celebration of life. Six days full of music and dance, magic and miracles, love and connections literally co-created heaven on Earth. 

This Ecstatic Dance was really special for me. Sacred Gathering was the first ‚festival of this kind‘ which I experienced. The idea to change the course of my DJ life came to me just few years ago right there. So it was kind a homecoming, something as closing the circle. 

After workshops such as Biodanza, White Tantra, Contact Impro and so on people were super heart centered. When we opened ceremony with cacao and singing circle, we were ready spread the wings wide, fly on the music wave and co-create incredible festival atmosphere.

What an energetic flight. The music took us high.

This was another beautiful Ecstatic Dance in my hometown Vienna. I'm happy that all the good vibes I was looking for and experiencing worldwide are also available at home. Thanks to everyone for dancing and sharing their heart, energy, and love. 

This set guides through all the seven steps of inner Alchemy as laid out in the Emerald Tablet by Hermes Trismegistus. Therefore, it provides a profound introspection into your body, soul, and spirit in a dancing way.

I felt Inspired by Shipibo medicine music
by Shamans from the Amazon singing Icaros songs in ceremony's, 
and spiced it up and Fused them with Beats, Bass, Synths
and percussion
for a some smooth, sweet down tempo dancing groove.  

Would describe it as Icaros fusion, down tempo, medicine house, Dub, ... 

i'v been playing them for a while in my Ecstatic Dance sets.
Really super exited to share it with the world now.

Martin, aka DJ Merlin the Alchemist, loves facilitating Ecstatic Dance Journeys. His special ingredient is creating a sacred space for transformation. Furthermore, he adds spoken invocations, supportive live instruments, and his alien voice. Whenever possible, he closes the dance with a live Gong Sound Journey. Years ago, he started with sound healing facilitation and, over time, also added Ecstatic Dance as a powerful modality. With all his experience from the former, he learned that holding space is his most crucial ingredient. We can only drop out of the mind and into ecstasy when we feel safe. Thus, he values all guidelines for ecstatic dance. No drugs, no shoes, no talking, no phones, and deep respect for everyone else are a time-tested recipe for unforgettable and embodied Ecstatic Dance journeys.
