Conceived as an experiment in timelessness, this forward-thinking yet nostalgic journey into sound features 77 tracks chosen for their idiosyncratic character and analog ethos. Global cultures collide and imagined geographies collapse as the story unfolds, catapulting the listener from the mirror-shaded nightclubs of the 1980s to the shifting sands of ancient Mesopotamia and back again, with countless side quests along the way. Despite the unabashed rawness of many of these selections, Basilisk's smooth and harmonic mixing style prevails, adeptly fusing every track into a seamless whole.

London-based DJ, producer and electronic music obsessive.

Basilisk is a veteran multi-genre DJ, co-founder of the psychedelic techno label @Techgnosis-Records alongside @benramamusic, founder of the iconic @Ektoplazm free music portal and label group (including Ektoplazm, Drumlore, and Omnitropic), lossless audio enthusiast, and dedicated archivist and electronic music curator. Originally hailing from Toronto, Canada, he is now based in Taipei, Taiwan.

Psytrance, techno, electro, house, trance, acid, breaks, bass, IDM, ambient—you name it, I probably spin it. My mixes fluidly combine different genres into harmonic journeys that defy convention.
