X-Ray Ted is not alone in creating his musical vision. Adding soulful depth and irresistible hooks to the mix are the vocals from fellow Bristolian Carys Abigail. Together, they effortlessly bridge the gap between retro 60's vibes and contemporary beats, creating something that is truly timeless, celebrating the past while embracing the future.

Ladies & gentlemen, to get a right start into 2017, we from Brothers Rockwell [Koolski, Skillkid, Jorge Alistano] decided *finally* to release our GIVING UP FOOD FOR FUNK PART II mix that was recorded back in summer 2012 but never touched the public until now.

A couple of promo-hard-copies were handed to a few closed friends. Bboy Poe One for example used this mix for some of his workshops when he traveled Germany & europe, his shoutout was:

"Watch out for these Brothers Rockwell! They are doing their homework and taking the game into the direct which it is supposed to go. Carrying on tradition the right way and adding their finger print into it. I rock to your mixes daily you guys. Thank you for keeping me rocking so fresh!!! Much respect!"

As you might hear, this mix will be your first choice when it comes to rock a funk-cypher & just getting loose on the floor vibing with your buddies. In a time where big competitions and super-pitched-break-edits overpowering the breaking-scene we feel this is now the perfect time to release this heavyweight of Funk to get back some needed balance into the dance we all love!

Track Description:  “Kings & Queens” is a go-to for a funky, punchy, feel-good love song. A true team effort, the song started out as a bouncy drum groove crafted by Simon Allen that would be filled out by Pete Shand’s joyful bass line and Lamar Williams Jr’s radiant lyrics. At the halfway point, listeners are treated to a blues-laced guitar solo by Eddie Roberts before concluding the dynamic “Average White Band meets Marvin Gaye” tune. Celebrating 20 years as a band, The New Mastersounds’ new studio album, ‘Shake It’ showcases the collaboration between the quartet and Williams throughout an ear-opening milestone recording.

Broken Boy x Konka - Persephone

This is a masterful piece of b-boy magic. Arranged and produced like a funk track from the 70’s, this is not your straight looped beats for the average b-boy. This builds and grooves in a way that only a dancer would know about. K. Sabroso began his musical journey on the dance floor, studying the science of beats and breaks while earning his stripes as a b-boy. In 2009 Sandoval decided to focus his attention on music, both as a DJ and producer. With musical influences across the board, he has explored countless genres including Dancehall, Latin Alternative, Downtempo, Trip-Hop, House, Glitch, Jungle, Trap, and Jazz... but he never wanders far from the breakbeats that fuel him as both a dancer and frequent Dj of breaking battles. 

K. Sabroso - Revenge Is A Dish Best Served Funky

DJ and Producer Dubra has been shaking dancefloors and causing bass-induced mayhem since 2006. What started as a passion for beats soon turned into an obsession, leading him to craft a unique sound that blends Drum & Bass, Hip-Hop, and pure groove.

As 1/3 of the collective "KRATA" since 2022, Dubra and his crew have been making sure Latvia stays well-fed on Drum & Bass-infused Hip-Hop. Their work even landed them a Zelta Mikrofons nomination for the album Krata—proof that basslines and bars can go hand in hand.

But let’s rewind a bit: in 2016, Dubra joined forces with Arteo and got signed to Disco Cakes and Bomb Strikes, getting love from Featurecast, Stickybuds, Krafty Kuts, and other groove merchants.

2020 brought a Drum and Bass explosion with his EP Light on Westwood Recordings, plus the Krafty Kuts collab Step To This on Bomb Strikes. Then in 2021, they went full circle by remixing none other than hip-hop icon Chali 2na from Jurassic 5.

Fast forward to 2024, and Dubra dropped another banging EP, Stay—because he just won’t leave the scene alone.

And in 2025, the industry took notice (again), nominating him for the GAMMA Music Awards. Turns out, making bangers does get you places.

When he's not tearing up clubs, Dubra is shaping the next generation of DJs as co-founder and teacher at “Rīgas DJ skola”, because someone has to make sure the future sounds good.
