The Brvtalist is pleased to premiere a new track from Yahoo Yahoo Training School. "Di Ting Dey Yanfu Yanfu" comes off the new EP, Minister For Loneliness, forthcoming on Bristol's Off-Switch Audio. Born in Turkey as Mehmet Irdel, Yahoo Yahoo Training School is an alias of the NYC based artist better known as Løt.te. The title of the alias refers to where the Nigerian Yahoo Boys are trained to scam people online, and the project explores how technology can transcend barriers of class, location and generation. Packed full of low frequency energy, sci-fi synth tones and rich sonic textures today we premiere the first track of the release which sets the tone perfectly.

In de eenentwintigste eeuw worden platendraaiers steeds zeldzamer door de opkomst en het gemak van digitale muziek. Toch zwemt DJ Gorgo tegen de stroom in. In 2020 dook hij terug in de tijd en ontdekte hij de fascinerende wereld van vinyl—een medium dat velen vooral kennen van hun grootouders.

Platenwinkels zoals Warrecords en Wally's Groove World in Antwerpen werden zijn tweede thuis. Daar selecteert hij zorgvuldig tracks en labels die de basis vormen van zijn unieke stijl: donker, abstract en repetitief. Zijn platencollectie groeide al snel uit tot een indrukwekkende bibliotheek, die hij tot op de dag van vandaag raadpleegt.

In 2023 maakte DJ Gorgo zijn debuut in Club Aura naast artiesten zoals MYU:SA, Natasja, Dj Paco en ADR. Sindsdien heeft hij gedraaid op diverse locaties zoals Kavka, De Studio en Maanrock.

Naast zijn optredens zet hij zich actief in voor de dj-scene. Hij werkt samen met opkomende artiesten en organiseert projecten om een plek te veroveren in de elektronische muziekindustrie. Techno Thursdays, te horen op Warradio elke eerste donderdag van de maand, en intieme evenementen in samenwerking met collectieven als Meshugat en Safehouse blijven een belangrijke basis voor zijn ontwikkeling als dj en artiest.
