We were given the honour to play the Set that walked us into the New Year! 10-00:30 🚀

It’s a privilege to play this time slot and sharing this gift with your partner is truly a fantastic experience. 

I wanna say thank you to my queen @afrodisea for coming with an incredible arsenal of tunes. 
Creating on the fly is the way to go for me. It makes me so excited because you never know what’s gonna happen as you create WITH the audience.

I always advocate for djs to not prepare their sets and to give space to their creativity, to believe in themselves, to connect with the crowd and to bounce that energy back and forth. It’s like you are listening to your favourite style of music - Yours! and in a B2B scenario it really pushes you creatively to dig deeper and take risks.
In this case, we had prepared only the countdown moment with an edit we created just for this festival.

Who was there?? 🥹 Seeing all of this coming to fruition was an indescribable feeling! The audience reaction was absolutely thrilling!!! Thank YOU for your LOVE!

Marcel Mathieu, better known as DJ Mathieu, began his musical journey in the vibrant city of Lucerne, where he first started DJing at local parties. His passion for music led him to found the label Project313 in 2000, through which he organized events featuring international DJs and continuously strived to introduce his audience to a wide range of electronic music styles.

With the launch of his new label Njoymusic in 2010, DJ Mathieu continued his work and created unforgettable experiences for music lovers. His talent and dedication opened doors for him to perform in Germany, France, Austria, and even at a Movement Festival Pre-Party in Detroit, USA. After a while in Aalst he moved to Antwerpen and the beach he is now living in Izegem.
When he was young party and music always was a big passion for him and it still is. 
Now these days the most of his time goes the production work for his own records starting from an empty page every time.
All his tracks are made in logic now these days.But also Ableton and the maschine software are sometimes the software to make his tracks. All his sounds are coming from his own hands, from pluggins or hardware synths/drums. so everything is unique in a way he created so almost no loops from others(sometimes i do  :P but its rarely)

Like to create some vibes that make you feel if you are in the sky but still standing on the ground. In the most of his tracks you can find some melodic tunes/vibes that he likes to create inside his mind . Also inspired by some groovy jazz sounds what is something beside dance music that he sometimes plays for relaxing his mind. 
Also the harder techno vibes he makes can make you go crazy on a dancefloor.
