My livestream set for the Psychedelic Virtual Gathering sponsored by Puzzle Effect on Facebook on April 12, 2020. 

This retro set features longtime favourites - all released tracks, barring one slightly different alternate mix - largely from the 1994-97 period, key tracks and atmospheres that remind me of my earliest experiences with this music. 

There's a glitch at one mixing point but I am keeping the full recording 'as is' as a reflection of how things evolved over the course of the live online event.

DJ Solitare is Mark Ainley, a psychedelic trance DJ representing both the Italian retro label DAT Universe (formerly DAT Records) and the legendary Tsuyoshi Suzuki's label Matsuri Digital. A classically-trained musician still working in the classical industry, Mark has been active in the psy scene since 1994 and has evolved a mixing style that fuses the formative sounds of the psychedelic trance movement with the latest productions, a blend of old and new, to create a fresh present-time dancefloor experience.

Original name is Black Citadel after few years we changed name to Space Citadel...At first project was made from fun and to see can we do it without any musical knowledge...We start at second half of 2000 at very young age i have 16 at that time and my friend 14 years...Crew are Nikola Milovanovic and myself....We do that only for fun never release a single tape but we hide some full finished and use for private fun....All on profile is from never finished folder ENJOY!!!

Eternal student of the psychedelic experience and the roots of Goa culture, devoted improvisational storyteller and collector since 1996.

I weave spontaneous sonic journeys using a range of psychedelic threads from late 80s EBM and New Beat through the golden Goa and psychedelic trance years and onwards to the unique contemporary sounds that stay true to the original psychedelic (genki) spirit.
