Already an accomplished composer and producer, crafting music and soundscapes for film and television, Gensi AKA András Genser deploys a trio of smooth and inspiriting cuts on the ‘Primavera 707’ EP.  The title track gets the remix rub from British brothers Decius.

‘Primavera 707’ is tinged with a gloss and sheen, and a pop edge, that stays on the right side of classy.  Heavenly melodies skit around an effervescent vocal, as Gensi distributes bubbly acid lines and expansive synths that elegantly crescendo.

Decius stamp their rugged sound onto the remix of ‘Primavera 707’, having impressed via releases on their own Decius Trax imprint.  Chugging drums and bags of mechanical funk are plugged into this re-rub, as the vocal gets pulverized, and a dark & sleazy tone is forged.

Further explorations into acid are mined on ‘Humble Brush’, as the wiggly worm forages around energizing chords and weighty drums, whilst ‘The Great Body Buzz’ glides across the cosmos with booming 808 beats and intergalactic electronics.

Camion Bazar started out as a festival nomad stage, partying and playing hybrid sets all over Europe. .Over the years the project has grown, becoming a well-known dj duo and throwing notoriously crazy parties. The duo also found their own label, Jaki Records.

Honeymoon 20, (their debut EP) plays like a trip, a nice, happy, smooth start to a strange year, getting progressively harder and darker. This release illustrates how they somehow got through it all.

A – "Beow" is a moody deep & dynamic Chicago house style tune. Featuring deft melodic touches and some killer bass, the track is densely layered with piano & synth phrases.

B1 – "Baby 100 coins" : An energetic deep house groove, made up of layers upon layers of pads, synths and rich melodies, a groovy warm-up weapon! 

B2 – "YLB" begins like a classic 2-step garage track before moving into hard-techno territory, the tune grabs you and pulls you up, higher & higher, until you lose control and have a break from reality. Chopped rhythm, huge kicks, crazy breaks. Just let go!

When he's not analyzing the bird life outside his studio window or contemplating matters of love, death and office management, Fader enjoys churning out true school electro cuts with a modern edge and some extra fonk. The wheels kept turning as the smell of rubber hung thick in the air. Inside the velodrome the riders whizzed in circles, ever closer to the finish line yet caught within the infinite loop. He had been cycling since 1994 and yet the echo of this space still game him the same caustic shivers as the first time he'd entered. The bright fluorescent lights lit up the shiny wooden stretch with a magical glow and the sound of cheers were the only motivation helping to drive him home. He kept pedalling, kept looping, round and round. 

Marlon Hoffstadt is a firm favourite here at Ransom Note, he recently launched his new label titled Midnight Themes and this track features on the first EP.

Beyond the Mikrosector, passed the Love Quadrant and over the Intersect lies another reality that exists in contrary to our own. This is where we now find Mr. 8040, the Space Dimension Controller, on a planète contraire, a world very much like our own, but one that runs in opposite to the norm. Here he toys with intergalactic Detroit funk and sequenced machines, creating celestial signals of minimalistic, atmospheric boogie. It’s a new course of interconnected, cinematic electro that exists outside of time and yet is apt for moments of timelessness.

Within the world of astrophysics there are select scientists out there that believe space-time gradually loops in on itself. Within this infinite realm of time and space, we can find ourselves once again living our past lives. It’s in this eternal domain that the Space Dimension Controller returns once more, applying his knowledge from the planète contraire to his absorbing palette of C-beams, moon-lit orchestrations, and graviton beats. Matured from his time cavorting through the core of the unknown, the Space Dimension Controller’s sound becomes more focussed, filled with the knowledge of the worlds his visited.

On the A side, Mr. 8040’s strain of progressive and unequivocal deep-space disco lends towards his studio competence, creating lush melodies that will have even the geysers of Enceladus erupting in time along with the symphony of syncopated drum machines. On the flipside, the prodigious Jack Hamill, aka. the Space Dimension Controller, flexes his machine savviness once more creating a timeless electro-funk rhythm for a timeless, time-travelling pioneer.
