Bailey has been entrenched in drum & bass and jungle since the earliest chapters of the movement – his role on pirate station Energy FM, his residency with Metalheadz during its most era-defining Blue Note moments, his 10-year tenure at BBC Radio 1Xtra, the list goes on – but most importantly he’s still right in the heart of the scene now. Resolute, inspired, and dedicated; he is one of the most consistent selectors and supporters of the genre in every possible direction.

As a broadcaster, he’s never been busier with regular shows on Kool FM and The BoAt Pod and allowing him to push the very best of new drum & bass and champion new talent across multiple platforms and territories. As a promoter, he’s the founder of Intabeats Music, an event brand dedicated to the true underground sound that’s renowned for its midweekly and unique inner-city locations. As a vibe-obsessed producer, he has developed a powerful line of releases on Metalheadz, Dispatch, C.I.A and Full Cycle. As a lecturer at Point Blank and Middlesex University, he is fully committed to ensuring the movement is just as strong for the next generation, sharing his knowledge and insights in the same impassioned way he shares the sounds he loves as a DJ.   

Above all, he is one of the most articulate, incisive, deepest-digging and industry-respected DJs in the game. Foundation-deep roots and reference points and a stash of dubs you’d sell your soul for, his sets are singular experiences that join the dots and weave the genre’s many substyles. A true veteran DJ, producer and engineer, A Sides has an epic collection of releases to his name making him one of the most prolific and versatile artists in drum & bass. 

Over the course of his extensive career, A Sides has never limited himself to a single style and has proved to be a highly capable selector whatever style he is drawing for. 

Reaching out with a sound that has truly global appeal, A Sides continues to tour the world over and 2013 has seen him grace the turntables in places like Sardinia, Russia, Poland, Amsterdam, Hungary, New Zealand, Canada and the USA. 

Jason Cambridge (aka A Sides) has been producing music since 1990 and has released well over 500 tracks to date across many of the scene’s biggest labels. 

He established his own label Eastside Records in 1996 and has since put out over 85 releases, including two compilation albums (Eastside Jamz Volumes 1 & 2) as well as A Sides solo albums "Follow The Groove" "Worldwide" "Mysterious Vibes" and the most recent album album "Based Upon Bass"

A highly accomplished engineer as well as an artist in his own right, A Sides has collaborated with the likes of Calibre, Makoto, DJ Marky, Break, Jo-S, Kemo, Deeizm, Mc Mc, Randall, Jenna G, Mark de Clive-Lowe and jazz musician Nathan Haines (under the guise of Sci-Clone) 

His long-standing partnership with MC Fats has borne some of his biggest tracks to date, including the massive hit "What U Don’t Know" which featured on A Sides’ debut long-player in 2003.
To catch the pair performing live is to hear drum & bass at it’s finest, with the deep soul sound of MC Fats bringing the perfect complement to A Sides razor sharp beats.

With tracks released on many other labels such as Metalheadz, Valve, True Playaz, Bingo, Innerground, Reinforced, Advanced, Liqweed Ganja and Hospital to name but a few, A Sides has a discography of truly epic proportions. 

A veteran of the scene from the early days, through hardcore to jungle to drum & bass, his influence has been immense. Over the years he’s taken on the role A&R for many labels, including of course his own imprints Fuze and Eastside, and was among the first to recognize and nurture the talent of producers such as Break.

Always moving forward and shaping new styles, in 2008 he established BassHead Music together with Juan BassHead aka DJ Burn to showcase the finest in dubstep and bass heavy beats. 

After a successful debut (feat. 12th Planet and Skream) there have been releases from Otto Von Schirach, Noah D feat. Einstein, Datsik, Bassnectar, Silver, Bare, Break, Serum, Figure, Hulk, Zed's Dead & The Killabits & Wheez-ie. Following this a compilation album All Killer No Filler was also release seeing Basshead regulars stepping up alongside new artists such as Mr Explicit, Total Science, DJ Sneak, Jah Free, Code 305, Animal Crackerz, Agzilla and Bats.

With a diverse music policy, encompassing not just dubstep but other bass-heavy beats, BassHead has some exciting projects in the making over the next 12 months. To add icing on the cake Basshead have also just won the 2013 Red Bull Culture Clash in Miami making them a force to be reckoned with. 

A Sides has also recently added a digital arm to Eastside Records and made the entire back-catalogue available for mp3 download from digital store Beatport. For most of 2013 he has been the figurehead behind a fundraising album for his good friend MC Fats who has been suffering with health problems. He has managed to compile an album with over 30 tracks from many high profile artists. Those involved are S.P.Y, Makoto, Command Strange, Goldie, Bailey, Serum & Bladerunner, D-Bridge, London Electricty, DJ Zinc, DJ Hype, Potential Bad Boy, Will Miles, Random Movement, Brother, DJ S.I.N, Crix, Cleveland Watkiss, Total Science, Calibre, Need For Mirrors, Quadrant , Iris & Kid Hops, TC, Cabin Fever, Break & Die, Basher, Alix Perez, Emtek, LAOS, Mackadena, MC Random, XRS, Regina, Ego Trippin & Mr Explicit. 

Other projects set for 2014 are a new A Sides solo album and also a joint collaboration album with Japanese producer  Makoto. The future is looking bright!

Lucky Devil Music was formed as a collective in 2001 by four likeminded individuals who wanted to put on some parties, make music and share their love for music.
    
    History
    All inspired by the innovation and originality of the Drum & Bass scene in the mid to late nineties, we set out to reinforce the diversity of the genre by recognising not just the music out there now, but also the funk, soul, jazz, rock, hip hop and multiple styles that have influenced it over the years. So we put on parties in Hoxton, the West End and South London championing this idea and giving people a chance to listen to music from the past, present and future. 
    As our members grew and developed we all branched off into different directions; Ayah pursued her singing career and formed a 5-piece funk/soul outfit called Slinkyfix, Matt Impact continued to DJ regularly on Rude FM, and decided to form his own label, Revolution Recordings, Guy Nautilus worked in music PR, as a journalist for ATM, Knowledge and Jockey Slut while also playing on Rude FM for 5 years, and Jon Baker pursued a career in Entertainments Law.
    As Revolution Recordings gained momentum and support and developed a reputation for putting out music of consistent quality, we felt the need to launch a new imprint which gave us more scope for diversity. Lucky Devil Recordings was launched in 2006 with a 12” from rising star Alix Perez and newcomer Switch and received a warm welcome from a wide spectrum of DJs and punters. 
    At the moment LDM is being run across the oceans as Guy is based in India and Matt and Ayah remain in the UK. Guy is studying Indian culture and music and researching in the Himalayas whilst working for an NGO, and there will undoubtedly be some eastern influences emerging on LDM releases in the future. Ayah is currently touring with her brand new material and you can catch her live in and around the UK regularly.
    Revolution is about to hit release 20 and Lucky Devil is continuing to garner support and release only the choicest of cuts, whilst looking for artists to sign on a long term basis.

Universal Project established in 2000 as a quartet, with their distinctive fusion of Bboy breaks, techno elements, dubwise bass and futuristic twists quickly gaining popularity on dancefloors worldwide. 

With early classics such as 'The Craft' and 'Haunted Dreams' gaining heavy support, renowned Drum & Bass labels soon took notice, with releases following on the likes of Renegade Hardware, True Playaz, Cylon and Virus, who released their their legendary techno-infused track 'Vessel'. 

Their in house label Universal Project Recordings was created to promote their unique sound and collaborate with producers globally, with standout tracks such as 'Glock', 'Warboyz', 'Bleach' and 'Outrun' became fan favorites.

Now consisting of two founding members, with a musical background dating back to 1993, the pair have DJ'ed everything from Hardcore to Jungle, gaining a strong following on London's Pirate Radio stations. Touching down on stages and clubs across Europe, the US and beyond, the dynamic duo have solidified their reputation with performances alongside heavyweights such as Andy C, Friction, Grooverider, Chase & Status, Loxy, Bad Company and many more. 

Moving to the present day, Universal Project continue to bring their inimitable sound to the masses, with more recent releases on labels such as Sofa Sound Bristol, Innerground and Dispatch. In 2024, the release of the full Univesal Project Back Catalogue began, in a three part series featuring many remastered remastered.

In July, they launch their debut solo album 'Universal Language', fusing old skool flavours with a refreshed new focus. Comprised of 13x brand new productions, exploring the dark and rugged depths of the evolving Universal Project sound, the album features collaborations with Xtrah, Stealth, Taelimb and Blacklist, alongside 2x additional remixes of classic UP tracks by current day powerhouses Jubei & Zero T. Music is the Universal Language.
