A creator of poetic dream pop, a fusion of soulful sounds. Her voice encapsulates jazz elements and Middle Eastern vibes with colourful harmonies. Her lyrics tell stories of femininity, vulnerability, and human connection to nature and to the self.

Ruba Shamshoum is a Palestinian musician, born and raised in Nazareth and currently living in London. Ruba's music draws from the sensibility of jazz, mixed with tinges of Middle Eastern elements. This mix complements her style and brings it to unique and distinctive places.

Ruba studied jazz performance at Newpark Music Centre in Ireland and was an active part of the Irish jazz scene. She wrote music for the film "When I Saw You", and released songs that were part of top indie charts in the Middle East and North Africa, generating much acclaim. She performed in international festivals in Ireland, the UK, and the Middle East. In 2016 Ruba gave a TED talk about "Being Creative in a Society that Worships the Past", hosted by the London Business School.

In May 2017, Ruba self-released her debut album 'Shamat' (Beauty Spots), written and arranged by her. In the record, she deals with identity, escapism, fear, and love. Each song on the album explores different shades of emotion.

In recent years Ruba collaborated on tracks with multiple musicians in Ireland and the Middle East. In 2019 she worked with poet Farah Chamma on the music and lyrics for a show titled Mai w Dai (Water and Light), which they performed in London in January 2020. In 2020, during the COVID 19 lockdown, Ruba wrote and released an original song titled "Patience"  co-produced by Kazz Torabyeh.

Ruba is Currently working on her next release with producer Alev Lenz, coming 2021.

ترسو في مينائهم أغان قديمة، تصلهم محمّلة بذاكرة المكان والحياة التي تنبض فيه، بروائحها وتفاصيلها المنمنمة لأناس مضوا وتركوا وراءهم إرثًا موسيقيًا تلقائيًا كان نتاجًا طبيعيًا لوجودهم.

"مينا" هي فرقة موسيقية تكوّنت بنفس هذه التلقائية، التقى أفرادها دون سابق معرفة أو تصميم، إلا أنها تبدو وكأنها صدفة مبيّتة؛ واضحة المعالم والطريق. وها هي تنبش في هذا الإرث الموسيقي الذي أغنته تجربة الشعوب وطبيعة معيشتها غير المتكلّفة. مستمدةً منه نواته الأكثر صلابة؛ الفطرة. فمنها، ومن بدائيتها الحسية، كتبت هذه الشعوب وغنّت عن الحب والحرب، العلاقات، الجمال، الثورات وحكايا الأجداد، فيما تتجلّى عاداتهم وتقاليدهم التي أنبتتها بيئتهم الأولى بكل تفاصيلها ومشاهدها، حيث صور البحّارة بانتظار عودتهم إلى زوجاتهم، وحيث وعود العشاق للقاء عند عين ماء، وحيث وعود الثوّار بالحرية.

خمسة موسيقيين؛ البرتغاليون روي فيريرا، هلدر كوستا، أندريه أوليفيرا والمغنية صوفيا برتغال، والفلسطينية تريز سليمان يبحرون من جديد بهذه الأغاني. يتكئون على القيمة الجمالية العالية التي تحملها، ولكنهم يطمعون في السفر بها إلى مساحات تجريبية مغايرة تقودهم إليها تجاربهم الموسيقية اللافتة.

"مينا" مرسى لعائلة لا زالت تتسع، تضمّ اليوم طاقمًا مهنيًا إلى جانب الموسيقيين الخمس، وهم مهندس الصوت ميخائيل جيرا، المصممة سنا جماليّة، منسقتا الإعلام رشا حلوة وأسماء عزايزة، والمترجمة آية حجازي. وكما التقى أفرادها، بحميمية تجاوزت المسافات، هكذا تلتقي المدن والأماكن في مشروعهم؛ ففي محطتهم الأولى، التقت فلسطين بالبرتغال وتونس وسوريا وإسبانيا ومصر والعراق والمغرب.

ومن بقاع أخرى على هذه البسيطة، تنتظر "مينا" أغنية بعيدة ترسو في مينائها، لتعيد إبحارها..

Os seus membros conheceram-se sem encontros premeditados, sem qualquer plano mas, por uma feliz coincidência, as suas rotas cruzaram-se e juntas trilham agora o mesmo caminho. A banda uniu-se para perseguir este legado musical, enriquecido pela sabedoria empírica do povo e pela força das suas vivências, de onde provém a solidez do seu âmago, o seu instinto. Através do instinto primitivo e da pureza sensitiva, o povo escreveu e cantou sobre o amor e a guerra, sobre o que nos unifica ou nos distancia e sobre a beleza, sobre a Mãe Natureza, sobre as revoluções e estórias dos seus antepassados, manifestando os seus costumes e tradições com alegria, esboçando na lembrança as imagens dos seus navegadores à espera de um abraço no regresso a casa, das promessas de reencontro dos amantes e dos sonhos dos revolucionários

Bahgaga is a woman musical and singing band from Egypt that presents comedy monlogues and joy songs, in oriental tunes. Bahgaga's concerts of mixed wittiness and playfulness seek to bring laughter to people’s lives. The band, founded in 2015, is located at the boundaries between music and performing art. Led by 5 female performers and 7 musicians, Bahgaga performs comedy to entertain the audience believing that laughter is a healer and could render greys whitish ones. However, contemporary monlogues, the heart of the band’s shows, is a peculiar genre that is infused with social criticism and contributes to change. The band was founded by composer and music producer Ayman Helmy.

Kato Hafez is a Roundglass (US) Music Awards Winner, He is a Solo Artist, a Multi-Instrumentalist / Vocalist / Guitarist / Producer / Composer / Songwriter, graduated from Faculty of Law , He produces his music in his home studio in Alexandria/Egypt, and worked with many artists. He is most known for his work in Metal and Rock music, most of his work is in Arabic with an Egyptian dialect, sometimes Instrumental and in English too. During the early years of his career, He started a Self-titled EP, then followed by many singles later, also He works as a guitar tech as a hobby. Originally from Alexandria, which is still his hometown too.
Recently new members have Joined Kato in the Live shows and transformed Kato Hafez from a one-man solo Project to (Kato Hafez's Project / Band), These Members are Gasser Helal on the Bass guitar, Hossam Mashaly on the Lead Guitar & Ahmed El-Kholy on drums.
