Deep Crates Late Night

It's been a hot minute since I put together a mixtape designed for chilling out - so I put together some tunes I've been chilling out to in hopes of creating a couple of hot minutes for ya'll to vibe to. 

The initial intention behind this one was Valentine's day, but as the day approached, and my lack of valentine at present looming in the back of my mind, I wondered why I was doing this and it slowly evolved into something I can only describe as a love letter written to myself.

I know it sounds a little corny, but there are so many ways to give love in this world and we tend to hyper focus and romanticize the love that is given to a single other person. But love for the world, love for life, love for yourself - are all just as important. So this one goes out to everyone in the world giving the love they have, no matter the type, and hopefully it encourages a feeling inside you that fosters love for yourself and everything - because those that love it all are often the best lovers.

It also goes pretty good with dinner, the beach, backyards, rides home, last thing at night, first thing in the morning, with friends, with more than friends, or just vibing alone with you and you. Y'know, that sorta thang. I hope you love it as much as I do <3.

DJing is one of those things in my life where I find myself comparing myself to others, and often feeling like I fall short. It’s easy to get lost in comparisons and caught up in opinions. Then bom bom (bom bom dillim)… a series of beautiful people remind me that my light shines bright, and they celebrate when it burns instead of trying to extinguish it. Thank you so much for everyone that has supported and believed in me, you have no idea what a difference you make. Thank you for showing up, dancing, expressing gratitude, providing connections, and being present. Thank you to everyone who put my name out there this year and all of the beautiful folks that booked me for their events.  I love you! 

And an honourable shoutout and thank doodle for friends and muses like my dear Johnny Irwin (Civilian) who throughout my career and our friendship has constantly reminded me of my worth and that there is inherent value in being a SELEKTAH! Johnny, you are honestly so important to so many people and we are all so lucky to know you my dude! MY DUDE! Thanks to Kato (my roots) for your guidance and support when I was a fledgling, thanks to Nolan for the hours we’ve spent together digging for and playing tunes, and having the best times (and the most stressful times) throwing events and parties, thanks to Huw for always having my back and letting me make noise any time of day in his living room, and feeding me, and giving me hugs. DJing is a pretty multifaceted activity, and when it comes down to it, I do it as a form of expression, and to play music that I want to share with others, turbo bonus if people dance! Shambhala Music Festival Pre Party Set - June 28 2025

I'm happy to share my Coma Dose Sunrise Set from Deep Roots Festival last month. Had an awesome time at my first Deep Roots, connected with some great artists and heard some of the best bass music a guy could ask for.

This is my second live Coma Dose festival sunrise set and it's been a real treat getting to take this project to the bass bins after so many years. I tried to keep it mostly fresh with a few classics from the previous mixes and just enough energy to keep everyone vibing into the morning 🌞 Hope y'all enjoy these beats on your next festival road trip! 🤘

Shambhala 2025: The Pagoda W/ Sam matthews

Wicked Woods Music Festival is such a special place. I can not express the gratitude I have for being invited to play, and return for another year. Drum & Bass is therapy for me, so closing out festival season with a dnb set truly made so much sense, and fulfilled me in a way I don't know if anything else quite could. The weekend as a whole conspired the most beautiful connections with everyone I had hoped to see and more. 

The organic nature of my growth as a DJ continues to prove myself, to myself. I feel that little level up in self confidence every time I take the stage and it is both gratifying and humblin - because I am just an ordinary person, trying to do extraordinary things. My intentions are to spread emotion, help you experience feelings and hold space for you to let it all out on the dance floor. It is a complete honor to take the wheel and steer the ship for that hour in time and I just really thank you all for being a part of that, in one way or another. 

The support within the community is something else as well. I can feel it strongly in every festival I get involved with and it is important to me to carry that forward and reciprocate in whatever way I can. I am so grateful for the people that see something in me and give me the chance to do my thing. 

This set, like all of my sets, is a piece of me. From my heart. From my soul. Music speaks through me in a subconscious way that I learn more about myself and the place I am in at the time. It is beautiful memoir to document a very special moment in time, with very beautiful people involved. I see your faces in that crowd. I see your smiles, your tears, your signs, your totems, your love for those around you. It is just the most beautiful thing. So recording and sharing is the least I can do, to show my appreciation for you out there. Even if you weren't in the crowd - I know you're listening, and it means something to me. ✨️

My intention for this set was to bring all kinds of fun, danceable energy to kick off the final evening of the festival. What would I want at that point in the rave?
