I'm 33 years old and have been dropping tracks for 15 + years. I play a variety of genres including house, trance, breaks, DnB. I  can use turntables, controllers and Cdjs. The venues I played Mystics, Mynt Lounge, Hair of the Dog bar, Cervantes. I Am currently running a production company called Dysfunctional Mindz  Productions, and have a weekly night every thursday and the Mynt Lounge and am a resident once a month at Club Vinyl.

His first single for Metalheadz, 'To Shape the Future'/'Raging Calm' (1997) and his collaborative material with Ed Rush, such as the Wormhole, album (1998) were archetypal developments in the style. The duo followed this debut album with The Creeps (2000) and The Original Doctor Shade (2003), as well as countless singles and remixes. Exploding onto the Drum & Bass scene back in 2012, Kove quickly grabbed the attention of industry heavyweights including Andy C and Futurebound. After a string of successful releases on Viper and ProgRAM, Kove hit the radar of titans Chase & Status, signing to their imprint MTA records. Diversifying his sound on the successful E.P’s ‘Measures’ and ‘Murmurations’, Kove began setting the airwaves alight with his songs ‘Searching and ‘Way We Are’ as well as his remixes for John Newman and Bastille gaining widespread support from Annie Mac, Danny Howard, Mistajam and Toddla T.  
 
Kove’s eclectic mixing style quickly made him a firm fixture on the festival circuit playing sets at Glastonbury, Lovebox, Reading & Leeds, EDC Vegas, Hideout, EXIT, Creamfields, as well as 2 nationwide tours across the U.S for Bassrush and supporting Netsky. 

Kove kicked off 2016 with the double E.P Nightfires vol. 1&2. showcasing his forward thinking production and a multi-genre approach. Songs such as ‘El Camino’ & ‘Bring Me Life’ racked up hundreds of thousands of plays on UKF & Spotify. Picking up support from BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra along the way. Finishing off the year with further remixes for Rag’n’Bone man, Emilie Sande, Sigala & WHTKD.
 
After a 12 month hiatus to explore other musical avenues, Kove is back with the new E.P ‘In From The Cold’, on DNBArena. Heading back to his roots, this 4 track Drum and Bass release is sure to set dancefloors alight.

Ironically, given the fact that they've got “Tactics” in their name, Mob Tactics came about quite by chance.

Mark was producing as The Funktion, and Luke, in his role as label manager for RUN DNB, liked what he heard and signed some of his tracks. It became apparent that Mark and Luke's taste in music was ridiculously similar and, over the course of a few weekends, they decided to get in each others studios and see what happened.

What happened was “Gunjack” & “Stick-up Kid”, two tunes which would go on to be supported by some of the biggest deejays in the business, and become the first Mob Tactics release. That was back in 2010 and, in the intervening years, these two have seemingly never let the momentum drop for a moment.

Early releases on Mob Tactics' own Tactical Recordings label, like “Kansas” and “Fugazi”, established their brand of drum & bass. Complex and technical, but with an irresistible edge of funk aimed straight at the dancefloor, no wonder they quickly caught the ear of the likes of Andy C, DJ Hype, Crissy Criss, and Chase & Status.

And these luminaries weren't just offering deejay support for Mob Tactics tunes, they wanted to sign them. DJ Hype's Playaz grabbed the massive Elephant Man collab “Crazy Hype”, Andy C secured “Wolf Trap” for the “Nightlife 6” compilation, and since then has come back for more several times. Eatbrain, MTA, C4C, Charge, Viper...the list of huge imprints who've wanted a taste of the Mob Tactics sound goes on.

Recent years have seen Mob Tactics revel in creative freedom. Releases like the “Body Check EP” and the Ryme Tyme-laced “Tweakers” have demonstrated multiple facets to their sound. Unconstrained by sub-genre limitations, the one thread that binds all their work is that commitment to making ravers move.

Anyone who's witnessed one of their blazing deejay sets anywhere around the globe will testify to the vibes and energy Mob Tactics bring to a dance. And, even since opening up their personal dub collection to the masses with their “Mob Vaults” releases on BandCamp, the amount of firepower they're packing on their USBs shows no sign of diminishing.

So, this is Mob Tactics. Signed and certified by some of the biggest deejays and labels in the scene, we've got a feeling they're just getting started...

A true pioneer of the Drum and Bass sound, Gridlok remains one of the most highly regarded artists in the industry. With a discography spanning over a two decades and featuring classics such as ‘Moodswings’, ‘Bottomfeeder’, and ‘Standing Room Only’, it’s little wonder that the Gridlok name has become synonymous with timeless Drum and Bass.

Involved with music from an early age, Ryan Powell aka Gridlok picked up a variety of instruments, but it was after experimenting with a cheap radio shack microphone paired with a 4-track tape recorder that he soon found himself in the murky world of production. Now with the use of a computer and an E-mu sampler along with an ever-changing combination of analogue gear and production techniques, this West Coast producer has led by example, constantly exploring new ways of injecting emotion and attitude into his art. 

The grimy uncompromising style that Gridlok has developed forms the foundation for his glittering career, gaining him the attention of his peers with household names such as Shy FX, Pendulum, and Dom and Roland lining up to work with the American producer. Acknowledged by artists in and out of Drum and Bass, Gridlok has put his spin on other genres, remixing for the likes of electronica giant Josh Wink and house legend Sasha. Gridlok’s original music and remixes have also branched into other media, with his work appearing in titles such as Konami’s Dance Dance Revolution and MTV’s Challenge series. Covering a wide spectrum within Drum and Bass, Gridlok’s versatile production has allowed him to release on a diverse range of labels, spanning from Ram Records and Playaz to Commercial Suicide and Moving Shadow, whilst maintaining his signature sound....

We share a mutual love of dark, techy drum & bass, although we are involved with a range of other bass-led genres. We DJ and write music individually and together. We run the AutomAte family of digital labels, including AutomAte, AutomAte Deep and AutomAte Tech. AutomAte aims to bring you the best in edgy drum & bass, aimed square at the dancefloor, from rising stars to established artists, from chunky steppers to dark rollers and all manner of other fancy-ticklers. The parent label has already chalked up Radio 1 airplay from Friction, support from Drum & Bass Arena and has caught the attention of more DJs than you could shake a stick-insect at.

The Deep label aims to put the warmth back into drum & bass with a range of deep, eclectic, inspirational music, influenced by anything from the Far East to South America and everything in between.
