Modern spearheads of the UK acid-house scene, the duo are residents & hosts of "I Love Acid" clubnight, as well as the vinyl-only label of the same name, and their main imprint "Balkan Vinyl" on which they released essential records from Mark Archer, Luke Vibert, Plaid and more…

They have run well over a hundred parties since 2007 across the UK & Europe - with current regular residencies at Pickle Factory in London and Gorilla in Manchester. "I Love Acid" won best club event in DJ Magazine's Best of British awards 2019.

The duo have an extensive back catalogue of 12"s on labels the like of Tusk Wax, X-Kalay, Dixon Avenue Basement Jams, Body Work, Craigie Knowes, Shipwrec, Chiwax, Acid Avengers, B12 Records as well as their own imprints.

Honey Soundsystem and Sunset Sound System celebrate 5 years of their annual New Years Eve jaunt. This year they team up with Gray Area at their new space in the heart of the Mission in the old Grand Theater. 

Joining us from Europe, dj/producer Lee Douglas will help us ring in 2015 with his eclectic sounds and impeccable mixing. Alongside his own optimistic disco releases, Douglas has also released as TBD (a DFA records project with Justin Vandervogen), The Stallions (a collaboration with ESP institutes Lovefingers), and most recenlty as An-i (a dark techno moniker on Cititrax). 

Backing up Lee on the decks will be the Sunset and Honey Soundsystem residents. 

As usual the lighting and decor for this event will be spectacular. This year a collaboration from HEX and CoreCult will create a larger then life LED sculpture to keep us dancing the night away. As apart of their involvement in the event Gray Area is working closely with both installation crews alongside integrating them into the creative coding program running through December. 

An added cherry on-top we will be joined by the BAAAHS crew with their bus parked in front of the venue all night.

Utilising heavily the sounds of modular synths and home-built drum machines, Hormone Lemonade still keeps the loose, improvised sound familiar to fans of their first two albums, with minimal guitar melodies and live drum kit helping to build hypnotic layers of texture. An album that promises to be full of "experiments, improvisations, and refinements" and with Cavern at the controls, surely to be one of the year's best.

Hell Yeah's Marco has been busy trawling the internet for new talents during lockdown. The result is a series of digital releases which will be rolling out in the coming months, kicking off with a new EP from Kayroy.

Kayroy is Finnian Langham, an artist from Melbourne, Australia, who in the last 12 months has released on Whiskey Disco and TheBasement, turning plenty of heads with his mature, sampladelic interpretations of funk, disco, house, boogie and soul. He got in touch with the label via email to ask for the vocal version of Giorgia Morandi's 'Children of the Sky'. "I couldn't find it," says Marco, "but after that he sent me a bunch of tracks that make up this EP. To my ears, it is fast, funked-up boogie with heavy Italo disco influences, acid and breakbeat, making it a very fresh selection to my ears."

Opener ‘Imagine’, produced with fellow Melbournite GREETINGS, is a glistening space disco cut with a sense of nostalgia rushing through its retro-future chords. It's filled with positive energy and gorgeous arps. 'Orbitale’ will get your butt wiggling with its sci-fi chord stabs and boogie bass. The whole thing shimmers and shines like a star in the night sky, filling you with warmth. The grown-up disco vibes continue on 'Galapagos' with its mellow acid bass, big stabs and kaleidoscopic arpeggios. The release is topped-off with a remix of ‘Imagine’ from Dawn Again, taking you to an old school chill-out room with its dreamy chords and hazy breakbeats, sinking you deep into a post-rave comedown.

This is a rich new EP from one of the fastest rising new names in the game
