Solid Grooves Records audaciously introduces itself as one of the UK's finest House & Techno labels, a bold statement backed up by its hugely popular residencies in both Ibiza and London.

The recipe is simple, but efficient: Solid Grooves Records provides a signature heavy duty sound from a tight knit family of core artists, whilst championing emerging and prospering artists.  The label's sights are firmly set on the horizon, with a commitment to pursue dance-floor material which is both tasteful and effective, and to set the scene for a new breed of talent.

With a unique blend of influences, Haider's evolving sound spans melancholic dub-infused soundscapes to captivating grooves, with a focus on sonic maturity.

For over a decade, Haider has been diligently practicing the art of sound and technology, quietly building a significant body of original productions under his birth name. His consistent output has garnered global attention, leading to his recognition as one of the promising electronic music producers emerging from Pakistan - (with his most recent productions being played globally at places like Fusion Festival (DE), Soundscapes (Zanzibar) or by Romanian artists like Petre Inspirescu - aka RPR sound system.

Combining influences, and his experiences from vibrant city of Detroit's renowned techno and house music culture followed by a nostalgic feeling inspired by his South Asian roots + his experience DJing across Pakistan at curated shows alongside international acts over the years, Haider's music embodies and blends a captivating fusion of melancholic sounds. 

His body of work and efforts bridges the gap between the music scene in Pakistan and the Western electronic landscape, supported by groundbreaking artists in the past like Lee Burridge, Sasha, John Digweed and many others despite the geographic and cultural distances from techno hubs of the West. 

Haider’s rising star is no accident. He recently remixed a track off Nabihah Iqbal’s Dreamer album for Ninja Tune, guested on her NTS Radio show, and has been often spotlighted by Mixmag London int he past with premieres and editorial features. From working with Blond:ish’s Abracadabra imprint to performing his international DJ debut at Jody Wisternoff’s Detroit debut show, Haider continues carving out a global presence with intention and flair.

"Drifting, emotive and more than a little dreamy — that’s the kind of house music you’ll find on ‘Graduated,’ the debut full-length from the Lahore, Pakistan–based producer Haider Uppal. It’s a beautiful and assured collection of tunes, the culmination of several years of original productions, collaborations, and remixes/edits for the likes of Nightmares On Wax, Powel and BLOND:ISH. Uppal’s musical career started as a teenager back home in Lahore, but ‘Graduated’ began to take shape while attending school in Michigan, where he soaked up the sounds of house and techno emanating from nearby Detroit.

You can hear faint echoes of the kind of music that Motor City artists like the late Mike Huckaby would make while in house mode — but Uppal’s music shares even more in common with the vaguely hallucinatory sound of artists like YokoO. (Perhaps that’s not a coincidence, as he helps to manage YokoO’s Satya label.) Next up for Uppal is a remix for Nabihah Iqbal on Ninja Tune — his future is looking good.”

Bross is a leading figure in Romania’s House Music scene, known for his deep and organic sound. As co-founder of Deep House Bucharest, he has played a key role in shaping the local scene.

His music has been released on top labels like All Day I Dream, Satya, Trybesof, Amulanga, Radiant, Hoomidaas, and his own imprint, Trubadour. A resident at Nook Club in Bucharest, Bross is also an in-demand touring DJ, driving Romania’s electronic music culture forward.
