These days he lives near Aachen with his resident performance in the Musikbunker / Hotel Europa Aachen and H 14 Würselen.
The electronic techno artwork from Carara is very powerfull and dynamic. You can discribe his sounds, very raw, dark with some underground dark voices.
His DJ sets are always like a train to ride with a monotone start and ending with a big bang after a nice climax.

This talented producer first had releases on Nulabel, Deadcert, Plunk Recordings, and more recent and forthcoming releases on Decoy,7teen Recordings, Concepto Hipnotic, Electrax, DMT recordings, Toxic Recordings, Berlin Underground.

Besides all of this, at this moment he has found a home at Wall Music. Where beloved guest at walls-events and at the moment working on bringing to life a sublabel of Wall Music, a new platform on which to showcase his own interpretation of the techno. So be on the look-out for that.

2017 will bring plenty of new material and collaborations with Mike Wall, MZR, Samuel L.Session and long time friends Vidrik and Eduard Szilagyi (Aka Yute).

For the Drone Podcast, he granted us a hybrid live/set, mainly with his own work completed with a few tracks by Wall Music Artists and Close friends. With most being an exclusive premiere.

Marina "Dr" Rubinstein comes at her DJing from the perspective of the dancer. She grew up loving to get down to techno back home in Israeli (though she is Russian born and Berlin based) and will always be a hardcore raver at heart. It means her sets are defined by a certain energetic dynamism that finds her calling on acid, 90s rave and pumping techno to get the floor sweating. She does so at key places like ://about blank and Berghain, and this summer will play Dekmantel Festival. 

Her adventurous spirit and quest for that “special feeling” on the dance floor characterises her mix for us. It is seventy minutes of grooves designed to make you move, from rugged techno to slippery electro via pulsing kick drums that burrow deep into the night. Contrasting dark with light, wild acid with more streamlined sounds and overtly physical tracks with those that are more cerebral, it makes for an arresting trip filled with special dance floor moments.

You know, when you’ve dedicated endless hours to treasure hunting and suddenly find your attention fully consumed as a track catches your ear, igniting something in your soul and proceeding to give you that ‘kid in a sweet shop’ kinda feeling! Yup, you’re with us now. Nørbak’s four-track EP, Conduction, released on Circular Limited in April 2017 and one of five EPs under his belt (also reaching Spieth’s Affin & Illegal Alien Records) was our first chance encounter with this intriguing Portuguese artist. With production fuelling the fire in his belly for the large majority of his life and his outputs doing what we like best – seductively minimal, deep, emotion and thought provoking - we couldn’t help but humour our intrigue and see if we could find out how his creative yearning is translated across to a mix. We are back with the 97th edition of the Drone Podcast, and for this edition were going to São Paulo, Brazil!

These Techno Minded Hero’s and brothers, Rafael Lopez (ex-Los 3 Brasileros) and Phabian Edward have been around for a while. Getting their first local gig at the age of 12 and 14 in 1996.

In 2008 Phabian started Válvula Records, to innovate the electronic music market with new artists of the Brazilian scene in the pursuit of underground Techno.

Since 2013 they operate as a new project, where they cluster all their knowledge of techno, house, and Detroit called Afrozoid. In 2015 they made their European debut with a bang by beginning in one of the holy grails of techno, Tresor Berlin! Ever since that they been regularly crossing over for gig’s in Stockholm, Birmingham, Berlin, Malmo, Amsterdam and more!

Biography
Afrozoid was formed by the brothers Rafael Lopez (ex-Los 3 brasileros) and Phabian Edward in 2013, rescuing old influences of House and Techno of the 90’s. The main idea of the project is to bring all the knowledge that both of them had in the past as DJs, when they played at underground parties in the 90’s. The essence of their productions brings influences from the past to the new era of House and Techno. Afrozoid comes with a combination of Groove, Dark and Detroit. Their productions are mirrored after such artists as, Jeff Mills, Carl Craig, Dave Angel, The Advent, Joe Beltram, Green Velvet, Underworld, Secret Cinema, Mau Mau, Habitants, Carl Cox, Surgeon, Cassius, Prodigy, ALTERN8, 808 State, LFO, Dave Clarke, Thomas P. Heckmann, Sapiano, Daft Punk, Laurent Garnier among others.

Another week, another podcast! This time we stay in the Netherlands and travel up to the north, Friesland. Here we have found an artist that does not limit himself to one specific style of techno. 

When playing a set he builds upon his drive and sometimes adding electro and house to the mix. He always is on the lookout for special tracks that are in his opinion the gems a set can make or break. 

Next to DJing and producing music he organizes his own events, called Technostate, in collaboration with Bass Collectors. Their events have been held in warehouses, clubs and even a stage hosting on the yearly held Play! Festival. Sure something to keep your eyes on!

Without further redo we’re happy to have Kipa in the mix for the Drone Podcast No.98!

A set performed by Kipa is energetic, open-minded and with a clear preference: underground.

When searching for sounds Kipa is always looking for the non-commercial ones that are the diamonds in the rough. Digging up those gems is fun and interesting to do. Playing them is an adventure on its own, but mixing them into something new, that’s where Kipa is at his best.

Inspired by the rich and full genre techno beholds, he never stops exploring it and even daringly crosses line by combing Electro, Techhouse and Warehouse tunes.

Together with some great roots like the 303 and 808/909, Kipa takes his audience on a journey they’ll remember.

When performing, the audience is key! Seeing them enjoy themselves to the fullest is what drives Kipa into giving his all. Looking up the depth of this incredible musicstream, his sound can be discribed as energetic, with deep sapcy soundscapes androcking beats.

Kipa is tremendously fond of building up an intensive set to trigger the audience with full-on Techno, not letting anybody escape from the high driven sound he creates.

Demo’s, mixing and producing is what makes Kipa a creative DJ/Producer with his own recognizable sound.

An Acid, oldscool feel with splendid soundscapes are the key components of Kipa’s mixes combined with a never-ending love for a deep, juicy, rolling basses.

As a residentDj Kipa has teamed up with Technostaye.inc to commit his sound and experience to this succesfull techno concept. Every week his mixes are broadcasted at Diesel.FM (Miami)

Welcome to the Drone Podcast. It’s been a while since we had this Techno Minded Hero on the show. He had a really strong set for the Drone Podcast No.044. We are more than happy to welcome him back again, and this time he teamed up with another great hero.

Buenos Aires, Argentina. Homebase of these guys, but there are a few labels on which they feel home as well like: Knotweed Records, Reaktive Records and Paranoid Dancer, to name a few. Together they like to explore the deeper Detroit and more funky side of Techno. But always with an ongoing groove. Keep an eye out for these guys.

Biography
Dying and Barakat is the project from Rodrigo Agüero and Yibran Barakat, two youngs DJs/ Producers born in Buenos Aires - Argentina. At an early age, they began to take their first steps in musical production always influenced by the Detroit and Chicago sounds with a different perspective and sound experiments creating a refined underground beats. Them productions explore the branches of deep, dub, ambient and techno exclusively. From 2012 they began to edit them collaborations and releases on vinyl format on records labels as Knotweed Records (France), CLFT (France), Fanzine Records (Spain), Paranoid Dancer (Germany), Reaktivate Records (Portugal), Hypnotic Room (Australia), Tono Limited (Colombia) and PAR Recordings (Uruguay). They are currently working on their next two vinyl releases ’El Sueño de una Teoria EP’ (Knotweed Records, France) and ’Exploracion Desconocida EP’ (Axaminer Records, Czech Republic) that will be able to hear in the next months and in their project in LIVE format to present on their first Europe tour.

Both very inspiring and 2 artists that makes everything worth working for. First one: Giorgio Gigli, thanks for all the support. Keep up the fantastic work and releases, we will see you again soon. The second one is the participant Hero on the Drone Podcast No. 100. He doesn’t need an introduction. This legendary Hero is a true inspiration to us all and we are more than happy that he provided us with an 5 hour special. A vinyl set recorded at @sintetik-baku on 27 02 2018.

Biography

One of the leading names in Paris’ contemporary scene, Zadig is one of the main forces responsible for the return of the City of Light to worldwide prominence as a centre for forward-looking techno. A participant in the’90s French rave scene in the hardcore and acid days, Sylvain Peltier found his true inspiration with the arrival of Mills, Surgeon, and Beltram and labels like Tresor, Lost, and Synewave and the techno that his style remains rooted in to this day. After moving to Paris in the mid-2000s, Zadig became quickly involved in the beginnings of what would become the present-day Parisian upswing, making an early release in 2006 as Day is Dying on the Rouen-based Euro Visions label. In 2009 he returned, this time as Zadig and this time to stay, quickly forging a relationship with the important Syncrophone label and distributor in Paris.

There has not been any looking back since, and as Paris’ techno scene continues to rise from the ashes of the early 2000s to the vibrant, world-recognized heights it now occupies, Zadig has made essential contributions to this ascendancy. Starting in 2011, he launched his Construct Re-Form label, which has gone on to a residency at the legendary Rex Club and continues to debut and support bracing new French talent like Antigone, Voiski, Birth of Frequency, and Zadig himself. His own discography also continues to grow, with releases on the reknown Deeply Rooted House in 2013, the New York-based Chronicle, Children of Tomorrow, and continued support from Syncrophone, as well as compilation appearances on Tresor, Reclaim Your City, and Studio R. As Zadig’s reputation as a leader in the French scene has spread, he has gone on to play numerous dates around Europe, with appearances in Berghain and a deepening relationship with Tresor, at both Concrete and the Weather festival in Paris, and worldwide in New York and Argentina, alongside scene-leading contemporary talent and legends like Scion, Rodhad, Peter van Hoesen, DVS1, Inigo Kennedy, Samuli Kemppi, Jonas Kopp, Johannes Volk, Shifted, Lucy, and many more. 2015 saw the debut of his Unforeseen Alliance live collaborative project with label mates Voiski, Antigone, and Birth of Frequency, all of whom have moved on to increasing success as both Zadig and Construct Re-Form have gained recognition.

With Paris’ resurgent club scene blossoming to worldwide attention not seen since the ’90s, it is the dedicated efforts of those like Sylvain Peltier who have helped to bring about this revival and continue to lead it to new heights. As Zadig, as a label head, as a DJ, and as a central fgure in its continued growth, he is an essential fgure in its present and a leading light for its future.
