The Soundwave EP has been compiled to showcase the themes and concepts in DnB music that will be explored and displayed at the event. Deep;  gritty and always true to the essence of dnb and dub culture, this EP is not to be missed by the connoisseurs of the sound or those new to drum and bass. A collection of recognised classics have been remixed and also original and new material is on offer within this EP in alliance with Soundwave.dance. “Reprizal” aims straight for the jugular with chest out stabs, growling subs and B Boy attitude whilst Apache breaks duel back and forth in an apocalyptic call and response.

Flip for the aptly titled “Light Beams,” where neon synth horns and hypnotizing arpeggios wash down in waves of atmosphere, shining warm sun rays through the Jungle canopy of clattering breaks and 808 groove to bring early morning dancers back out of the darkness.

M-zine returns to Sofa Sound Bristol with a very special project - his debut album, 'Know When You're Ready'.

It's a milestone moment for an artist whose output has matured, marinated and developed for over a decade to a natural pinaccle.

M-zine represents everything we love at Sofa Sound and the album is layered with warm textures and organic tones to form a rich body of work with great depth that rewards both your patience and your sound system.

With influences rooted in dub, techno, funk and soul, M-zine embraces the lost art of simplicity and is focused on getting the most out of just 4 or 5 core elements so everything works together nicely in the mix.

Written mostly during covid; clubs were closed, but M-zine had his rig at home and used the isolation to craft his own little soundscape; something pure and introspective, nice and simple.

Its subtle, meditative and Sofa Sound through and through - a warm collection of tracks for you to appreciate.

Nuvens [170] closes it off, built from recordings of the ocean near my city, drifting like clouds.
