For his second official release, brazilian dj/producer ROOMPUNX brings a banging jazz infused lo-fi house track with a punchy beat and lots of soul, creating a nostalgic atmosphere by the use of looping samples and hypnotizing vocals. The side-b G STABS MIX by NAICHE is all about a deeper vibe with beautiful OG sounding stabs guiding the knocking beat throughout the song.

Lugano, Switzerland (or as he likes to put it, Rigel A) resident Carlo Bernasconi is a man of many former trades – a decade-long career as a pro turntablist G.BIZ, service with the Swiss Armed Forces Militia earning him the rank of Lieutenant, classical training in piano and solfeggio spanning seven years, and a side-gig as electro and booty house peddler Life Jacket. All of these inform an exquisitely veteran and textured approach in the debut of his dark, industrial techno guise, Specialivery.

For his contribution to Tessier-Ashpool’s fluid ‘machine music doctrine’, Carlo employs a historian’s approach – very specific crate-digging during his latest summer in NY, and a lifetime’s research on ancient civilizations lend themselves to a reductionist and stoic sound, and a steely, somber tone. His peerless, cultured musicianship and military instincts shine through as he tempers industrial and tribal elements into spartan, automaton grooves, and transcribes antediluvian concepts into futuristic soundscapes that evoke action-packed scenes of megacorp warfare.

Opener “Kinesia” is appropriately kinetic, its swung Prophet08 bassline creating a suspended, tense counterpoint to the rigor of the techno backbone – a tension resolved only by a sparse, yet instantly-memorable synth flourish. “Haksum” is a bellicose, galloping number, its interplay of builds and drops betraying Specialivery’s DJ chops, and its tom-driven low-end showcasing his penchant for elegant simplicity. “Amenhotep III”, faithful to its regal title, is the most focused assertion of the EP’s sound (evident in its PSA-style lead sample). Working with a lot of the same elements from “Kinesia”, it ramps everything up to 11 – the bass becomes an ever-timbrally-evolving volley of relentless 16th-notes. Follow-up “Baagh” seems almost tame by comparison, despite its 4/4 neurofunk/thinking man’s complextro histrionics. Closer “Marabunta” strays from the convention of ending on a more restrained note, instead latching on to a ceaseless rave alarm and never letting go.

“Something is driving them out, and I think it’s something big.” Specialivery unwittingly describes his sound with this sound-bite – his is a sonic mecca for ravers worldwide to flock to.

DJ and Producer Anna Morgan is a sonic adventurer exploring the junction of urban and tribal. This native New Yorker is a connoisseur of globally minded low-end frequencies that narrate her journey of seeking freedom through music and dance. With her new single "Grace" on Black Marble Collective Anna flexes grimey basslines and funky Footwork & Jungle style percussion, while chopping up provocative vocals. The song is a homage to women everywhere who define femininity for themselves, rather than accepting society's definition of what it means to be a woman .With remixes from Moscow's own A.Fruit, the mysterious Habibiboi and NYC's Kala this release has styles and heavy bass for every club situation. 

Anna Morgan is co-founder of the lauded multi-genre party HEAVY, alongside her residencies with reputed collective The Junxion and Brooklyn breaks-centric party Vitamin B, she highlights urban diasporic stories while catering to dance enthusiasts, spanning genres from Jungle and Footwork to Hip-Hop and House. 

As a music producer and Radar Radio host she focuses on creating a fusion of hybrid bass sounds informed by Hip-Hop, Dancehall, Jungle and Juke. Anna brings a fresh perspective to the DJ booth from her experience as a dancer and her urban Caribbean roots, infusing movement, sensuality, freedom, feminism and nostalgia through her unique sets. You can find her playing her fusion of bass heavy sounds all over New York City and beyond. She has been featured at festivals such as Mysteryland USA, Outlook Festival Croatia, Bass coast, Gratitude Migration, Hawaii Electronic Music Festival, Equilibrio El Salvador, PEX Costa Rica, Freeform Arts Festival, Figment NYC, and Return to Roots Festival.
