C Frame w/ Yesca - 10/02/2025

Recording of a live set I played at a park in Footscray in December 2024. Another 45 minutes of chaos that was frantically pieced together at the last minute (as usual). 

Written and performed using an Elektron Digitakt and 3 other synthesisers. It's always fun and stressful trying to sculpt something nice out of a DAWless (and convoluted) setup.

Sylvio B revient sur Rinse à l'occasion de la sortie de son 2e EP Body Control (show+interview)

﻿Bien qu'originaire de région parisienne, c'est bien en Allemagne que tout démarre pour Sylvio B. Adopté par la communauté queer de Hambourg et notamment par la dj Saeleen Bouvar qui lui apprendra la "herstorical way of djing", Sylvio B (initialement Sylvio Bouvar en hommage à son mentor) vole désormais de ses propres ailes.

Inspiré par la house de Chicago, la culture ballroom et par le mouvement electroclash, Sylvio B fait danser les foules sur des sets mélangeant les styles et les époques.

Après avoir joué en Allemagne (au Fusion festival, au Kater Blau, SchwuZ, et Suicide club à Berlin ainsi qu'au Kampnagel et au PAL à Hambourg), à Anvers (Club Capital), à Amsterdam (Thuishaven, Pamela Amsterdam), Londres (Dalston Superstore), Nantes (Macadam) et à Paris (Virage, Mustang, Silencio, Wanderlust, Bizarre Love Triangle ...), le jeune dj s'est également lancé dans la production. Après avoir dévoilé un premier titre "Turn me out" sur Les Disques du Lobby, plusieurs titres house / voguing ont vu le jour dont un remix de "The Oracle" (The Carry Nation & The Cucarachas), soutenu par le média Electronic groove et rencontrant un accueil chaleureux aux Etats-Unis et en Europe (joué notamment au Berghain/Panorama bar). Son premier EP "Last Forever" en featuring avec Robert Owens connait un succès critique sur la scène internationale (Alinka, Josh Wink, Mystic Bill, The Carry Nation, Oliver Dollar...). Son 2e EP Body Control sorti en mars 2025 est d'ores et déjà acclamé par des grandes figures mondiales (Luke Solomon, Massimiliano Pagliara, Radio Slave, Hannah Holland....)."

Born in NYC and now based in Berlin, Wilted Woman distills the DIY ethos of both cities into her own musical work. Favouring glitchy analogue sounds and electro-techno stacked with wonky synths, she’s been a prolific cassette releaser, releasing via a variety of underground labels with the same DIY spirit as herself. Fresh from a collaborative tape with Nick Klein, she recently dropped ‘Lon Lon Night Vision‘ on Erol Alkan’s Phantasy Sound – her debut on the label and something of a curveball for them, with the excellent rhythmic two-tracker scoring a remix from fellow electronic outsider Laurel Halo on the flip. Winding through some ambient soundscapes, jittery electronic workouts, screechy noise and even gangsta folk, her Dummy Mix is an unpredictable 45 minutes of hyper-modern club workouts. “About the mix… not too much to say about it…” she says enigmatically, “dark music for warm weather?”
