Puritan is Tbilisi-based Techno project of David Japaridze, head of Murder Tbilisi imprint.

David Japaridze is someone who has been deeply involved with music for many years in various ways - Gaining his first credits in Tbilisi’s underground where he experienced the rise of Georgian Techno scene at a very young age. DJ-ing and producing since then, the artist decided to take things seriously and started to carve his own path with founding his own imprint - Murder Tbilisi. His vision and ideas led him to work with some of the most respected names in the industry, such as: Orphx, Terence Fixmer, Justin K Broadrick, Silent Servant, Ron Morelli, Reeko, Phase Fatale & Pablo Bozzi as Soft Crash and many more. 

Whether as a solo artist or as a head of vital Murder Tbilisi imprint, Puritan made a name for himself as a music selector that crosses genre boundaries with ease. With hand-picked selection and perfect blend of old and new, accompanied with precise mixing technique, Puritan’s sets always carry carefully narrated story that aims to bring you on the journey where you can lose or find yourself. The Georgian perfectly manages to drag his wide array of influences into one techno frame to create perfect soundtrack for the night with never losing the danceable dynamic. 
 
Puritan’s passion for old gems recently made him expand his musical world with ‘Puritan pres. Body Pressure’ project where he plays more soft, intimate sets with drawing inspiration from 80's & 90's EBM from Boy Records to the current new wave of Italo-Body Music. The moniker is home to the more explorative side of genres, such as: EBM, Italo, Electro, New Wave, Techno & other gems of untold sonic future. 

With deep knowledge of the past and distinct vision of future, Puritan’s body of work makes it clear that he has come to stay and is set to leave his trace on the modern electronic music scene.

Championing a sound both highly intense and surgically precise, the Argentinian DJ and producer has us surfing a rogue wave of frenzied analogue funk, sci-fi-informed industrial pound and proto-electroid impulsions. Not one for the faint-hearted, Zisko’s mix is galloping techno at its most eruptively driving and merciless, bound for heavy-duty, mid-set apexes and hi-impact mosh pits down the basement. Total smasher beware, this one’s cut from the heaviest alloy.

There is a big black heart in Barcelona that it is still beating. Three weeks later, we’re still digesting the magic that was the fourth edition of Mostra festival. From the most intimate listening moments to collective catharsis on the dancefloor, this year was something else.

Starting from the end this year, we’re proud to present the recorded closing set from Mostra's resident ABSIS, who delivered a deeply emotional finale that distilled everything Mostra stands for: a blend of force, finesse, energy and passion — all woven into one.

Across four editions, countless moments, different days and stages, ABSIS has always been there: reading the different dance floors, adapting, connecting the dots between sound and feelings. Being a resident is more than just playing; it’s embodying the festival’s pulse, giving it identity and continuity, and raising the collective experience to another level.

If you’ve journeyed with Mostra through the years, you know how central ABSIS (alongside Timnah and Patrick Russell) has been to shaping that Mostra spirit. If you haven’t yet, you may find the chance next year.

And now, for the first time: ABSIS closing the festival. A powerful tribute to what it means to support the local scene, not just by listing names from the city, but by creating moments like this one that matters.

Our May podcast comes courtesy of STNDRD, with the Barcelona-based producer and DJ delivering a gritty 1-hour session combining intense drum workouts and heavy synth leads.

With a steady output of releases starting in 2018 for several reference labels (Subsist, Dynamic Reflection, Children Of Tomorrow...), STNDRD has since become an active member of the Bahn crew in Barcelona and is also behind the Audio Magnitude project, a label and podcast series showcasing his most valued techno producers from around the world.

Barcelona-based Joey Stella. Resident and founder of the influential collective 01366.
Originally from Manchester (UK), historically a home for techno and all things music. Stella is a diverse selector focusing on deep and intelligent rhythms; his DJ sets can be described as powerful with rolling grooves and hypnotic spells found throughout.

Developing his taste as a raver in the north west, with family members and a close circle well embedded in the local club and rave scene - Joey naturally fell into throwing parties as soon as he was old enough to do so. Now with years of experience, this life really came to the fore after moving to Barcelona, where he began promoting illegal loft and warehouse parties, which evolved into the multi-city 01366 label and event brand, that he co-manages today.

Few artists can match the influence that Enrique Mena, AKA Svreca, and his label Semantica have had on contemporary techno. With over 20 years in the DJ booth, 200-plus releases on the label and some acclaimed original productions and remixes, Svreca has spearheaded techno’s second generation, helping maintain Madrid as an international hub for deep and driving sounds. 

As a DJ, Svreca draws from a wide sonic palette that includes noise, dub, avant-garde electronics, electro and, of course, techno. First, it was luminaries like Angel Molina and Oscar Mulero that inspired him; since then he has made it his mission to survey the scene and connect with its most original artists. He funnels these influences into a powerful techno sound for body and mind: immersive, textural and rhythmically complex. Whether in an open-air festival setting or a blistering, pitch-back basement, Svreca’s sets—always delivered with technical precision—are a psychedelic, physical experience. 

His sets are also inextricably linked to Semantica. It’s a two way relationship: the label has become a consistently excellent breeding ground for new talent, as well as home to some of techno’s finest artists. Equally, Svreca draws inspiration from shared moments on a dance floor to fuel the label’s creative direction. From its austere aesthetic (designed by Mena himself) to its boundless exploration of new formats, Semantica encapsulates the heady spirit of experimental techno. 

Across all Svreca's means of expression, one thing is a constant: the music comes first. Less talking, more doing. It’s a formula he has stood by, and delivered the quality of music needed to back it up.

We are super excited to present the 142nd episode from @aumrecordings co-founder TENO!

TENO is a DJ and producer currently based in Osaka, who has been making a strong impact on the techno scene in recent years through both his DJ sets and productions. His activities now extend not only throughout Japan but also across Europe, China, and other parts of Asia.

On the international podcast circuit, he was featured as the first artist in the new FOWRE series on Eerste Communie, curated by Marrøn, one of the world’s leading DJs based in the Netherlands. He has also contributed mixes to labels such as Polygonia’s IO Records, Nebuleus, Reverse, Tensione Collective, and CONCEPTUAL VIOLENCE.

As a producer, TENO continues to release music on labels around the globe. Through his own techno label Aum Recordings, he released an EP featuring a remix by Munich-based artist Polygonia. Additionally, he collaborated with world-renowned DJ Wata Igarashi, who contributed a remix for TENO’s first vinyl EP, DONT CRY OVER SPILLED MILK.

In February 2025, TENO launched a second label, Monos, with the aim of expressing his unique artistic identity. The label has already released the Violet EP and Primrose EP, with the Yuugao EP set to follow soon.

Resident of @resurrection_berlin, @figments - K-H1 is a music project by Berlin-based Sergey Barinov in collaboration with Luke Mombrea. K-H1’s vision is to be boundary-pushing: weaving together pulsating rhythms and striking, tripped-out soundscapes to create a tight, yet distinct techno sound.

His sets mirror his bold production style. Oscillating between dark, vibrant, and cinematic themes underlined by heavy, driving grooves, he invites listeners to embark on a hypnotic journey together.

K-H1’s releases have garnered recognition and support from influential figures, and have graced venues such as Berghain, RSO, Bassiani, and Smolna38. Quickly establishing a unique presence on the techno scene, K-H1 is one to watch.

Bringing the heat this week is none other than Djane par excellence Lokier. Originally starting out in Mexico, Lokier has relocated to Berlin and has already found a footing in the techno capital, taking up a residency at the newly founded Revier Südost (formerly Griessmühle). Elements of EBM, Trance and New Wave can regularly be heard in her sets, which have taken her across Europe, Asia as well as North and South America. Her proficiency behind the decks is matched with a talent for producing, with tracks of hers being released on esteemed labels such as Pinkman and even a Soft Moon remix on Aufnahme + Wiedergabe. Lokier recently created LightStrike as a platform for her own productions as well. This set is characterized by thundering industrial kicks, paired with ravey stabs and dark vocals, creating an intense rave atmosphere. Enjoy!
