[DREF001] Go Hiyama - Crispy Bites EP

This Japanese technopioneer has done some masterpieces last year on well respected labels such as Audio Assault and Zwart. Now it’s time to hit back with a stunning and pounding EP on the new label Dynamic Reflection. 

This kid is the headchef of mindcrushing synths, steady pounding beats and crispy percussionloops as the first track so clearly shows.

The guys from Radial put out an awesome remix on the A2! Their rework leads you into the dark paths of techno, a true dancefloor killer!

Before checking the flipside you better insert your earplugs, cause here Mr. Hiyama comes up with an narly mindblowing stomper. He shows us how stuff like this is meant to be done and has no mercy on those eardrums.

Secondly there is another remix from the Spanish wonderboy Reeko, who takes you into the deep and dark dungeons of his Spanish artgallery. With his heavy basslines and his extraordinary uplifting percussion loops he pushes himself to another level with this one!

[DREF003] Phantom Regiment - Breaking Earths Atmosphere EP

Another killer from the Dynamic Reflection squad in your face! This time from the new kids on the block: Phantom Regiment! Phantom Regiment is a new project from the guys which are better known as Damian Keane and Niels Luinenburg (aka. Delta Funktionen). They started making straight forward techno music for a while now and they break it down with their first EP on Dynamic Reflection, delivering the killer track 'Breaking Earths Atmosphere'. The guys from Counterpart had to do the dirty job to remix this track and quality analog stuff is what these guys will bring to you. They proof it once again with an outstanding live recording full with Detroit influences and massive 909 ride loops. This baby is anxious to blast through your speakers!! 

It’s been a while since Dave Miller & Damian Keane released some new material, but it has been worth waiting. With this 'Dark Day on Mercury' they deliver an energetic driving dance floor killer on a different level. After this....we’re looking forward to what these guys will bring us in the future. Old school quality techno at his best!! 

Once again an amazing 3d release from the Dynamic Reflection squad, let’s pray for more of this pure quality stuff and keep our eyes on the the future.

Afterlife and Tale Of Us are proud to announce ‘Realm Of Consciousness’, a 10-piece compilation
expanding the Afterlife totality into a label. The label and events will complement each other with one
aim; to bring the crowd into another dimension of music perception with enthralling production to that
ignite the senses.
The ‘Realm Of Consciousness’ voyage commences with Tale Of Us’ Lies - a fitting introduction with
quivering keys and restrained percussion that engenders an ominous suspense ahead of Monoloc’s
enigmatic industrial techno crunch, Phoenix. Shifting through the haunting chords of Recondite’s dynamic
Murphy’s Law, to the brooding synth of Poseidon by Ukrainian duo Woo York, the realisation of Afterlife
utopia is upon us. The repetitive, mesmerising synth and effective reverb that Somne creates with Triangle
is an odyssey within itself. From there, John Hester’s expertly woven ‘Logan’ is a feverish techno stab that
transverses through the emotional senses, transitioning to Locked Groove’s adroitly crafted Emeralds, to
Ryan James Ford’s ambient, albeit percussive, techno cut Toree Bahrstad. Die Wiederkehr is the outcome
of Obscure Shape & SHDW’s collaboration, which incorporates facets of techno and trance that have
been shaped with real guile and finesse. Mind Against round off the compilation with Gravity - a
mystifying ambience and a fitting title as we touch back down to planet earth.

Sebastian Mullaert is well known for his work as one half of the highly respected Swedish duo Minilogue, responsible for killer releases for the likes of Cocoon, Crosstown Rebels and Wagon Repair, alongside breathtaking live shows as a solo outfit as well as their joint live act with Matthew Jonson.

Working from the idilic setting of the mystical Swedish forest, Sebastian Mullaert has has been making serious waves on his solo artist journey, lending his signature hypnotic sound to labels like Mule Musiq, Drumcode, Minus, Kontra-Musik and Ovum. His one of a kind spellbinding live show is illuminating the world’s finest stages such as Panorama Bar - Berlin, Concrete - Paris, Fabric - London, Labyrinth Festival - Japan, Black Market - NYC to name a few and can be witnessed on his recent Boiler Room and XLR8R sessions. 

At nearly 13 tantric minutes long, ‘Windmaker’ bubbles and teases with freestyle keys with an almost Middle Eastern flavour, as Mullaert plays snake charmer to his machines, coaxing out deft melodies, airy cymbals and on point beats and percussion.  It’s a track to completely get lost in, crafted with fine sonics and a gloss that only an artist like Mullaert can achieve with ease.

The enigmatic Ukranian producer, Vakula, is drafted in to give a re-interpretation of ‘Windmaker’; edgy phased stabs puncture the minimal techno beat, bouncing and reverberating off the kick drum to create a glorious wall of dubby sound that compliments the original mix a treat.  Vakula has always impressed with his creative and original music for labels like Firecracker, Dekmantel and his own Leleka imprint, so it’s a privilege to have him remix on Hypercolour.

Hot on the heels of the A-Sides Volume 5 compilation, Enrico Sangiuliano makes his return to Drumcode with his highly anticipated EP ‘Moon Rocks’. The heavy hitting four track EP shines a light on Sangiuliano’s tight, thundering production skills. The hoover heavy lead track ‘Moon Rocks’ is packed with booming percussion, intricate synths and brooding crescendos. The EP encapsulates Sangiuliano’s wide spectrum of sounds ranging from the fat bass line of ‘Moon Rocks’ to the more delicate harmonies shown within the ‘Dutch Kiss’ mixes whilst ‘Ghettoblaster’ sits somewhere in between.

In Your Body

The eighth instalment of The Nursery series sees the return of Moving Thoughts, a talented duo from Holland, for their first solo EP with Dynamic Reflection. Four powerful, varied tracks with a bit of a nod to Detroit.

‘Small from above’ starts off with a bright vibe and inventive percussion patterns, making it into a warm and cosy welcome. The second track, ‘33TG’, puts a quick end to that cosiness: it’s raw straight from the beginning. A mean synth builds up for a couple of minutes before alternating with another synth, only this time a more euphoric one. 

‘Voyager’, the third track, is undoubtedly this EP’s dance floor banger. Its loopy lead sound has a bit of a trippy minimal vibe to it, but with just enough diversity to retain attention throughout. Lastly, ‘The people from Mars don’t want us there’ provides the perfect outro of the EP with its modular action and futuristic appearance. 

Although these tracks are all fairly different from each other, they are all produced in the same effective and delicate style. They make for an interesting EP, reason enough to follow these two promising artists’ every move from now on.
