After the red leaf and the gold have gone, 
Brought down by the wind, then by hammering rain 
Bruised and discolored, when October's flame 
Goes blue to guttering in the cusp, this land 
Sinks deeper into silence, darker into shade. 
There is a knowledge in the look of things, 
The old hills hunch before the north wind blows.

In the darkening rust and tarnish of the time, 
And say over the certain simplicities, 
The running water and the standing stone, 
The yellow haze of the willow and the black 
Smoke of the elm, the silver, silent light

If there was ever a timeless form of music, one could argue it is dub techno. From his drifting, weightless chords to the sheets of melancholic atmosphere he crafts, Fingers in the Noise has proven himself to be a true purveyor of this sound. As profound as any basic channel record, his albums create an expansive space within which the listener can truly exist. Since 2009 he has been churning out the highest quality dub techno and ambient music on his own Fitn Personal Records imprint as well as many others, so it was only natural that we ask him to cook up something special for UNRUSH. 033 - Unrushed by Fingers In The Noise

"In the Nada Brahma book I find the words:
"with the Sufis is the name of the original sound "Saute Surmad": 
the sound that fills space. "
In this mix there's a track from Chi Factory's Hanyo v. Oosterrom called "Saute Soermad", I think he means it too. 
I think that's how it could have started.

Spiritual travel is my second mix for the great guys of "Nature Tales". Planned as a "one and only mix", it quickly became clear that the multiplicity of tracks and the somewhat different mood required a split into two mixes. "Spiritual Journey" has definitely become darker than the "Tropical Mysteries" version. It was a long way from planning, track selection and tricky in the details. I hope you like it."
