There are things that change your life: people, games, roads, songs... This is one of those things by any doubts. Everything started an afternoon of mid 2010, when I was browsing through Duke Nukem 3D MIDIs, there was interesting tracks, others not so much, and Gotham.mid started to play. I really liked the bassline and progression of the song, other of Lee's masterpieces. It's a gem "I need to remix this" I thought immediately. The result was a somewhat trancey track at 135 BPM. Later the idea popped out of my mind: "What if I make an entire album with remixed versions of the game OST?" 
And that's how Reduked born. One thing led to another, and soon the tracklist started to increase. At some point Rabbid Transit were gonna be the fith track of Reduked, between Alien Reactor and POB, but I wasn't absolutely convinced about the track's rhythm and treatment, so on a twist I pitched the tempo down to 112, keeping all the trance elements (loops, stabs, pads, etc.) and bringing back the strings of the original. I'm really glad I took that decision. On this version, I made just a few improvements (from maybe 2013 to 2015) since this is my second favorite track from REDUKED, finally decided to upload the whole stuff now in 2016, WTF!

Dark and atmospheric track. As the majority of the tracks in Reduked, I used sounds of the original game to add much more depth to the songs. On this case the monolith and alien ship sounds melted really well with the score. For this version (2014-2015) I added slightly new sounds to enrich the sense of suspense and tension of the original remix (2010).

One of my favorite songs from the game, also the music of the first level (Hollywood Holocaust). So it was a logical step to use this as the real opening theme of Reduked. It is amazing how Lee Jackson managed to build such an epic atmosphere with just a few notes and chords playing again and again. My intention on this track was to revamp the synthbass, leads and string sounds with a variety of synthetic sounds to enhance the 80's night futuristic style of the song.

In 2013, my original remix from 2010 was used on the release trailer of Duke Nukem 3D Megaton Edition for Steam, by Devolver. The inclusion of it gave me some impetu and exhibition, and I'm really greatful with the guys for that (if you are reading this Nigel!)Anyways I don't really liked my original remix, so I made a new version in 2014:

This is one of those remixes you love or you hate. Particulary I love this track, I wanted to give the song a different twist, a more tech-pop/banging/acid feel. And remove some things I don't like about the original. The Reactor sound starting at 0:33 was a nice touch as well.
What you hear now is even a slightly different version from 2014-2015!

Definitely my favourite track from Reduked, the one I feel most identified with, the most spontaneous, and the most emotive. Early on 2011 when I started working on the remix, I noticed that original song was somewhat repetitive which I wanted to avoid, then I took a Korg nano key controller I had atm and recorded some improvisations with the same lead preset used in Rabidd Transit, over the original MIDI. 
I quantized the result and made little changes, then imported the bassline MIDIS and pizzicato strings, and added some post-rock elements. Changing the bass and strings progressons at 3:05 as well to bring an emotive climax. I really liked what I had done, but the mastering was horrible. In beetween 2012 I took it over and remade the mix / EQ'ing and added two synthetic bass lines, plus the plucked arp at 2:52, and the break at 3:31 for the pad to bring it up. The song reminds me of my childhood were I could play Duke Nukem the entire day. I'm really fond of this remix, this is the original track from 2012 - 2013 with no modifications, I'm really glad you can finally hear it :)
