Presenting a live improvised performance from the Argentinian producer and multi-instrumental live looper, Janax Pacha. Spearheaded by Gabriel Epstein, the Janax Pacha project sits at the crossroads of acoustic and electronic expression, utilising instruments such as Native flutes, kalimbas, didgeridoo, percussion, and effect racks. The resulting tribal downtempo sound is inspired as much from dub and ambient music, as it is by ancestral indigenous music of Latin America, building layers upon layers of sound, and compounding numerous centuries of culture into one experience.

Dancing into Remembrance: A Transformative Ecstatic Dance Journey 

As the rhythmic pulse of the music guided our movements, the dance floor transformed into a sacred space of self-discovery and communal unity. The eclectic mix of tunes, carefully curated to induce a trance-like state, resonated with the deepest corners of our beings, inviting us to shed inhibitions and dive into the dance of our own existence.

With each step, twirl, and sway, the boundaries of the physical world dissolved, leaving only the pure essence of the present moment. It is not just about dancing; it is a spiritual practice that connect to something greater. The rhythms became one heartbeat, synchronizing with life itself.

In the heart of a transformative celebration YANKAY becomes a pivotal moment, ushering in waves of bliss, joy, friendship and profound memories. I learned to trust the rhythm of the universe, surrendering to the flow of life with grace and gratitude. The dance became a mirror reflecting my inner landscape, revealing facets of myself I had long neglected. It became a journey of self-discovery, a sacred pilgrimage into the depths of my soul. The spiritual practice of ecstatic dance has become a guiding light, illuminating the path to a more authentic and fulfilling existence. Through blissful movements and shared moments, I have discovered a profound truth: that within the dance, we find not only ourselves but also the boundless potential for love, joy, and transformation.

This is the paradigm that Capitalism’s cancerous hunger for perpetual growth originates from, and the resulting annihilation of our habitats. 

Wholeness is honouring both the inhale and the exhale, the yin and the yang, the inspiration of spring and the shedding of autumn, the exuberance of summer and the stillness of winter.

Yes, it is in this spiraling downwards, this descent into slowing down and the state of being, that we face our emptiness and restlessness. It's in the darkness that the transformation takes place, where that which we surrender to, creates the soil for new evolutions to take place. 

Take heart: softness and release are never far away. Let the thoughts and feelings come and welcome them home. 

Feel the earth underneath you and trust: Winter and the void is where all guidance, all dreams, all creativity and all of life come from. 

What is your greatest prayer? How deeply can you surrender? How soft can you become? 

Allow yourself to be embraced & transformed by the sweet stillness of Winter...
