Having made a name for himself through a string of choice releases for the likes of Nous’klaer and Delsin, Dutch producer Konduku has been turning heads with his ever innovative take on the techno medium. Pushing for new directions, Konduku’s been laying down intriguing blends of dubbed-out, Afro-infused grooves and plural strains of abstract-leaning, breaks-friendly hybrids. The present mix showcases the breadth of his influences and essential components, extrapolating techno’s genre-transcending nature through a fine mix of heavily verbed-out electronics and shape-shifting buildup, never quite going where you’d expect it, rather seeking the excitement of suspenseful arcs and unsuspected developments. Bold as it should.

We are thrilled to announce the upcoming release of ABSIS's second EP on the Affin label, titled "Silent Voices." Building on the foundations of his previous work, ABSIS has introduced new facets to his sound, crafting an EP that is both innovative and deeply engaging.

"Silent Voices" showcases a more dancefloor-driven component, seamlessly blending it with a distinctive dubby sound signature. This combination results in tracks that are rhythmically compelling yet atmospherically rich, offering a fresh take on his music.

Unlike much of today's output aimed at being played out, ABSIS's "Silent Voices" approaches the dance floor from a different angle. The music is thoughtfully crafted to create an immersive experience, encouraging listeners to lose themselves in its intricate layers and nuanced production....

Silent Voices is the third EP to be released on our sub-label Affin Serial, which was founded last year.

Viennese DJ/Producer Alpha Tracks is best-known as a fleet-footed champion for contemporary neo-trance. Where others to the north of the genre’s beginnings are breathing new life into the musical style, Felix Benedikt holds down the fort in the east, deriving his intrinsic link to its forms from the early millennium record-digging. With releases on imprints like Blue Hour, Ute.Rec., his very own Morbid and newly pressed <AIR WAYS> bristling with scrappy basslines, the shape of his mission is sharp in focus, a revival and reconfiguration of those 90s sounds into something modern and loaded with relevance. Striking parallels with the speed of data in our modern landscape could be made with trance’s newfound acceptance, but for Felix it’s something inherently felt. Logic demands respite, and his palette has changed to suit an equal need for interiority, a slower pace and the psychic realm. Enter Zenaari Mix 017: this latest episode turns down the tempo and strips away the kick of his bellicose basslines for a pure and surrealist patchwork of prophetic sounds. this is a mix of some of my favourite abstract records from people like chas smith, c.m. von hausswolff, sun ra, birdshow, this heat, brian eno, gavin bryars, robin hayward, head of wantastiquet, Elmar Lällabebbl Ensemble, Ralf&Florian, Ken Kamden, The eightfold Model, Bruce Gilbert and others. 

this mix might have disturbing effects when listened to as background music. But I prepared a real good japanese dinner while listening to it last week.
