Dogs In The Streets

After a significant time out for the Four To The Floor brand due to a lack of open dance floors, we have decided to resume the series as an emblem of hope.

Four tracks that carry the sense of longing for the dance floors and the weight of the desire for reunion that has been building up within so many of us.

FTTF18 opens up with Bionick Amisi & Bob The Groove and their „Was It“ - an emotional Melodic House track that has been present in Solomun’s sets before the start of the pandemic. Next is Simon Mós with „Say Something“, a melancholic Microhouse track that features the heartbreaking voice of Curtis James.

Track 3 is „Shadow Dance“ by Eynka wonderful breakbeat symphony laden with moving vocal samples. And closing off the FTTF18 is „Clubs No More“ by Middle Sky Boom, a hypnotic tune that circles your head like a thought you can’t let go - the perfect parable for a DJs mind in lockdown.

Definitely an unexpected long wait for this one, it was totally worth it though. One of the label pillars and long time friend, a strong voice in the ministry of groove (if there ever was one), meticulous perfectionist of audio, Azaria, who’s artistic name should be familiar for our small but faithful audience, is presenting a strong compound of shadowy elements that subtlety merge with the essence of a slowed down goa trance body sprinkled with a surprisingly unexpected latin touch that we just couldn’t resist. “Bugs” is the latest delivery from one our favourite artists accompanied of out-of-the-question great Anatolian Weapons (Greece) and Tyu (Mexico) remixes,  the whole album is just heading straight to your favourite hottest playlists.

Long-time friend and resident Arthur Johnson is finally back on La dame Noir with a brilliant four tracker that perfectly encapsulates the spirit of this label’s club nights in Marseille and includes a superb remix by Colossio & Mufti.
This new music reveals once again how good Belgian born Jonhson is at crafting adventurous club music. He’s proven himself before on Les Disques De la Mort as well as La Dame Noir and counts Tiga, Chloe and Ivan Smagghe as fans, which shows you how real and rugged his sounds are.
‘Rrheatr’ is a brilliantly shadowy groove with filtered vocals swirling about above an edgy groove.

PRÈMIÉRE: Arthur Johnson - Rrheatr [La Dame Noir]

Julian Fleker is an artist from Argentina, a friend from our origins in the underground of Buenos Aires. Ricardo Ruben's project starting from the name to the artistic side face and composition takes a humorous place, although his musical background is serious. Ricardo Ruben is a character from a song by the 80's rock group Los Twists that carried a share of acid humor. It is then that the name of this Ep is not surprising, nor the way to face a different compositional work, wanting to highlight an idiosyncrasy of personal and local search.

“Sinatra is not dead, Yabran told me” plays with black humor and a story of an Argentine media gate. Yabran was a businessman accused of mafias and corruption that ended in a suicide case where everyone doubted his true death as someones think with Sinatra too. Ricardo Ruben is a drummer and the track is a tremendous banger full of percussions, and acid arpeggios of 303 in staccato where a real drum solo joins playing on top by rolling fills. A song that gallops sideways and that is a tractor pushing pistons like crazy. Weird, jazzy, creepy and bizarre black humor, really irresistible.
